Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Account Manager to join our buying team in a brand-new role. This role will be crucial in driving the growth of our wholesale business by identifying and developing new sales opportunities, as well as finessing and evolving existing ones. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, passionate about organic products, possess strong sales and relationship-building skills, and have a proven track record in wholesale account management.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement strategies to scale the wholesale business into new revenue channels outside of D2C
  • Identify and target potential wholesale clients, including retailers, restaurants, and other businesses that align with Abel & Cole's values and products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing wholesale clients to ensure long-term partnerships
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with wholesale clients to achieve sales targets and profitability
  • Work closely with the Fruit & Veg buying team to ensure wholesale volumes are appropriately captured in D2C plans and availability is maximised
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including working closely with the Non D2C team, production, logistics, finance and customer care, to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional service to wholesale clients
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to key business stakeholders

About You:

  • Experience in Wholesale Account Management, preferably in the fruit & veg sector
  • Passion for organic products and sustainable practices
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Role Summary:

In this role you will be providing HR advice and assistance on a range of different topics. You will be required to provide a comprehensive HR service which ensures that managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high performance and happy culture.You will also work on projects to make Abel & Cole an even better place to work. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as first point of contact for all employee People/HR queries.
  • Assist with writing and updating People policies/procedures and then advising line managers on how to apply the policies practically.
  • Provide employment law advice to managers on employee relation issues.
  • Advise on sickness absence issues, including liaising with Occupational Health/GP’s and working with line managers to reduce sickness absence.
  • Ensure all new starter and leaver processes are completed in a timely and effective manner
  • Advise and provide support for line managers in producing documentation, including offer letters, contracts of employment, internal offer letters and change to terms of employment letters.
  • Advise on and provide support to line managers with disciplinaries, grievances and appeals including note taking at meetings.
  • Manage the maintenance and development of our HR databases, iTrent and People First.
  • Run, maintain and develop People/HR reports to provide meaningful data to the business on our people.
  • Support training across the company, including facilitating workshops and organising training and development activities.

About You:

  • You will have proven HR generalist experience
  • Ideally working towards or CIPD qualified or equivalent experience in an advisory role
  • Good understanding of employment law
  • Great organisational skills and experience of managing own workload to meet deadlines, using initiative where required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with other departments
  • Competent at using Microsoft office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

What we offer:

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The role will be based at our Andover site – we usually work from home on Fridays and other home working days can be discussed.

Salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum (FTE) depending on location and experience.

Summary:
We are looking for a talented Operations FP&A Manager, who will report into our Operations & Sustainability Finance Manager. This is a key business partnering role and an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Operations team providing insight and analysis to support business decisions. You will be essential to supporting key change projects, driving operational efficiencies, reporting on KPIs, and automating processes. You will be a catalyst for change whilst supporting our mission to be the UK’s most Sustainable grocer.

You will have experience of both supporting and challenging key stakeholders where necessary and have the flexibility to adapt to fast-changing business demands. Our strategic goals focus on driving growth through excellent service and improving our sustainability credentials, which can only be achieved by the Operational teams working towards the same goal collaboratively and efficiently. The role is a great foundation for several career paths: either pursuing FP&A across other parts of the business; or moving into other areas of finance for a rounded accountancy experience; or to step into a fully Operational role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Key Business Partner to the Operational teams, working closely with Head of Operations and Operations Managers.
  • Supporting Finance Operations with month end reporting of Delivered Contribution (“DC”, our measure of profit after delivery costs). Understanding all levers that impact DC vs budget
  • Collaboratively working with Operations and Finance teams to forecast DC as part of budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Finance lead on strategic projects impacting Operations including Test & Learn – supporting the Operations team to deliver commercial strategy.
  • Measure, model and understand cost effectiveness of operational efficiencies.
  • Troubleshooting and providing solutions for issues that arise.
  • Interpreting and explaining financial data to the wider team in a way that informs strategic decision making.
  • Actively build partner relationships within the business, ultimately improving the flow of financial information.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise costs and performance.
  • Manage one analyst.

About You:

  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and analysis.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, able to engage and collaborate with a variety of people across the Operations team.

What We Offer :

This is a permanent position, from 26 to 37.5 hours per week. Our core working hours are 09:00 – 17:30, however we offer flexibility. The role is to be based in Andover, Hampshire, or Wimbledon, South London, with periodic travel to alternative site. Travel expenses will be available to your non-base site depending on your home location and method of travel.

  • FTE salary of £35-45k
  • 33 days inclusive of bank holidays (FTE).
