  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their CMMC compliance needs and design comprehensive Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management across Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • CMMC Integration Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of various compliance frameworks to enable integration of Purview across an organization’s data landscape, aligning with CMMC requirements.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement labels and policies for data classification, retention, and protection that meet CMMC standards and ensure compliance with both organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with C-suite executives, data governance, and compliance teams to align Purview implementations with broader CMMC compliance goals and regulatory mandates.
  • Advanced Monitoring: Leverage Purview’s advanced data governance tools to monitor and manage data access, ensuring ongoing compliance with CMMC standards.

Job Description

Agile IT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer focused on M365 Security and Compliance, specifically CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, and DFARS. This position works independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams, analyzes requirements, and ensures secure cloud architecture, resolving technical issues, work with security scores, Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, Conditional Access and other MS Cloud security features, Intune/Autopilot/Entra ID. 

The Senior Systems Engineer must have a strong technical background in Microsoft and possess experience ensuring security and compliance within Azure and Microsoft 365 Infrastructure. Successful projects require clear communication (written/verbal), setting clear expectations, managing, and collaborating with internal team members, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The Senior Systems Engineer is key in providing guidance and support to the engineering team and project coordinators/managers to execute consistent project success on time and within budget. 

Qualifications

What YOUDo:

  • Be the CMMC thought leader which involves a deep knowledge of CMMC requirements, practices, and implementation strategies, providing expert advice to customers, writing authoritative content, and educating and training internal team members. 

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of M365 security solutions for our customers, including Entra ID, CA, DLP, and Threat Protection. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key technical contacts within the customer accounts and becoming a trusted adviser to these individuals. 

  • Serve as the escalation point for project issues for internal and external stakeholders and a collaboration point with Microsoft for CSP ticket escalation. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and project management team resources to successfully complete projects. 

  • Provide configuration recommendation and assistance to other solution deployment team members. 

  • Assist in the development of detailed project specifications and implementation plans. 

  • Maintain knowledge on latest Microsoft 365 and Azure products and services, including new features, tools, security updates and solutions. 

  • Generate detailed documentation for customer presentations, implementations, and administration sessions. 

  • Deliver technical training to customers on Agile IT products and services.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, with a focus on Microsoft technologies. 

  • Currently an active CMMC Registered Practitioner or ability to achieve RP status within 3 months of employment and an intent to become a CMMC CCP within 18 months.  

  • Possession of intermediate certification (SC-100) in Microsoft Security with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including Azure Security Center, Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, and Office 365 security features. 

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CCPA. 

  • Experience with security incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in mentoring and developing junior team members. 

Nice To Have:
