WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Be at the forefront of the cryptocurrency ecosystem building out new distributed software to handle our rapidly growing user base of 75M+ wallets to reach 1B+ customers
  • Become a key member of a dedicated engineering team committed to rapidly shipping, and iterating on products that directly impact millions of users

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • You know at least one programming language in depth
  • You have at least one year of experience in any JVM based languages (such as Java, Kotlin, Scala) and are confident in your ability to build, debug and ship microservices
  • You have experience building and shipping highly-available, fault tolerant, production ready distributed backend systems
  • You actively participate in creating product and software specifications before implementing them

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyse large volumes of transactional and user data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent behaviour. Use this analysis to suggest possible countermeasures to emerging fraudulent typologies. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to fraud prevention efforts, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation of risk factors, adjusting models and strategies as necessary to adapt to evolving threats and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, and Compliance to integrate risk mitigation strategies into our platform's infrastructure and processes.
  • Communicate findings and insights to key stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in risk management and fraud detection within the cryptocurrency industry.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on fraud-related matters, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams as needed.
  • Deep dive in how Fraud and Money Laundering works, how different payment methods works and how they are exploited by fraudsters.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED 

  • Min of 3 years of experience in data analysis
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM field 
  • Strong proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, with hands-on experience using tools such as Python, Bigquery and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design, with the ability to apply these concepts to real-world problems.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptocurrency protocols, and the unique challenges associated with fraud and risk in the crypto space is a plus

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps is an engineering discipline that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed and fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Blockchain’s services are reliable and available to meet our users and the business needs, and delivers a fast rate of improvement while keeping an ever-watchful eye on capacity and performance.

At Blockchain, SRE is also a mindset and a set of engineering approaches to running better production systems—we build our own creative engineering solutions to operations problems. SREs are responsible for the big picture of how our systems are designed for operability, how they relate to each other, and we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless postmortems and proactive identification of potential outages factor into iterative improvement are key to both product quality and interesting and dynamic day-to-day work.

The SRE/DevOps environment at Blockchain is a work in progress - we are looking for an experienced, senior SRE to provide engineering leadership across the SRE team and the broader engineering team. Are you ready for a challenge?

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will be able to play a critical role in evolving our infrastructure as we develop solutions to complex technical problems  involving reliability, latency, bandwidth and most importantly security.

  • Linux, including an understanding of resource allocation, network and/or internals.

The Risk Manager position is a hands-on, high impact role that will require experience in Enterprise risk management, specifically in the financial services industry.  The risk manager will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise-wide risk strategy that accommodates the operational, legal, market, credit, regulatory, and technology risks of the various businesses at Blockchain.com.

While our company operates in the crypto currency markets and therefore extensive market risks, this role has a large emphasis on non-financial risks. Non-Financial Risk encompasses risks that could have a potential economic, regulatory, financial reporting, or client impact from i) failed or inadequate processes, data, or controls; ii) infrastructure or environmental factors; or iii) intentional or inadvertent actions of employees or external parties.

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for developing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring the Risk Management framework across the Group, through promoting adoption of the Risk Operating Model and promoting a sound control environment
  • Proactively partner with business units and corporate units in driving a balanced approach between business growth and risk management 
  • Support the business units to understand how to identify risks in their areas of specialization and conduct risk assessments 
  • Conduct, document, and regularly evaluate the enterprise risk assessments across the company
  • Implement risk management policies, and create analytics that align company metrics with the risk policies, including the group risk appetite statement
  • Support the team with the production of regular risk reports highlighting key enterprise risks, in addition to identifying risks, issues and critical interdependencies across programs/initiatives
  • Drive the execution of remediation plans to close critical issues sourced internally or externally, as applicable
  • Work closely with Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to across the various jurisdictions we operate in
  • Support the delivery of Risk and Control Self-Assessments; provide analysis and reporting that adds value to senior management, Audit & Risk Committees, and the Board

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • College Degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Security, Economics, Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in risk management
  • Preference for crypto/fintech experience

  • Provide ongoing support and training to NetSuite users, promoting best practices and ensuring effective use of the system.
  • Stay current with NetSuite features, updates, and best practices, applying this knowledge to continually improve our NetSuite environment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a NetSuite Administrator, with a deep understanding of NetSuite reporting, customizations, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex processes and develop them from inception to completion, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, capable of leading projects and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of scripting and workflow tools within NetSuite (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • NetSuite Administrator certification is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of other tools such as Ramp, Rippling, DEEL, considered a plus
