CropX, a globally recognized agricultural technology company, is looking for a passionate and highly motivated person to serve as Sales and Business Development Manager to support the adoption and expansion of CropX’s precision agriculture products throughout New Zealand.
As a B2B salesperson reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales targets, whilst also supporting our dealers’ sell-through to farmers and advisors. You will be an important customer-facing part of the CropX company in New Zealand. This is a remote position with a flexible location in New Zealand.

Responsibilities
· Plan, generate and report on business activity to deliver on sales growth targets for NZ.
· Establish and support long-term business relationships within the market.
· Build and progress a significant sales pipeline, contributing to company’s revenue.
· Lead engaging and informative technical demonstrations and training sessions on the CropX products and solutions.
· Manage relationships with partners including distributors, key customers, agronomic advisors and other commercial relationships. Primarily, this will focus on day-to-day sales and marketing activities.
· Manage internal operations and customer service requirements to exceed customer expectations and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
● 5+ years of sales, and/or business development experience.
● Prior sales, technical, and/or operational experience in agriculture or a closely related field.
● Strong familiarity and contact network within New Zealand’s agricultural sector.
● Excellent business acumen, creative problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
● Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
● Able to self-motivate, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a remote team.

The Tule sensor product line measures the water use and water stress of the plants in the entire field. The data and machine learning insights can be accessed by farmers from any device, allowing them to maintain optimal soil moisture levels, improve nutrient management and enhance yields.
As an Account Manager reporting to the VP of North America Sales, you will be responsible for growing CropX’s customer base, generating sales leads and closing deals with new customers. You will work with our customers to encourage them to expand their deployments of our products. You will be an important customer-facing part of our Tule dealership, which is the premier dealership for CropX in California.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop expertise on CropX and Tule products and technology

4. Maintain a very high revenue renewal rate.
5. Understand the unique use cases and value that each customer derives from our products, and help them maximize the impact of these use cases within their organization.
● Prior sales experience within the Ag Industry.
● Practical knowledge in viticulture and/or agronomic experience.
● Comfort with technology: Ability to demonstrate software products virtually and in person; working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM tools is a plus.
● Comfort with travel: Ability to travel about 30-50%+ on average, with seasonal spikes (primarily day travel)
● Live in Napa County or Sonoma County, and work from home with minimal supervision.
● A valid US Driver’s License with a good driving record, and the ability to drive long distances to industry events and customer offices, staying overnight near these locations as necessary.
● Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; CropX will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to lift objects up to 35 pounds.
● Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach and sit for up to 8 hours per day.
