The Role

As a Tier 2 Customer Support Specialist at DISCO, you will be responsible for delivering high quality support via chat and email to our diverse user-base of music supervisors, composers, and other music industry professionals. You will answer questions about our product, troubleshoot and investigate bugs, and assist users with requests such as billing changes. At DISCO, our Support Team is a vital part of the company’s success, delivering an exceptional quality of support that our users recognize and genuinely appreciate.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and resolving customers’ technical problems in a friendly and timely manner via chat and email, in order to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Investigating and escalating any identifiable bugs to Engineering team, as well as documenting any feature requests provided by customers to Product team
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing Support workflows, reducing ticket resolution times, and improving customer satisfaction
  • Assisting with other ad-hoc projects when necessary
  • At least eighteen (18) months of product support experience in a SaaS-based environment
  • Experience providing product support to external customers via chat and/or phone
  • Excellent written communication skill and a demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple support requests simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional investigative and analytical skills
  • Experience using customer support tools and CRM systems such as Intercom, Zendesk, or Salesforce
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira or Asana
  • Flexibility to work on holidays and weekends as needed
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

Reporting to our Head of Product, you'll:

  • Drive the strategy and roadmap for your team: collecting and analysing feedback from a diverse set of sources, you’ll understand our customers’ sharing needs and our business goals and opportunities, and prioritise the most important work so your team is always working on the most important projects
  • Take ownership of growth, conversion and retention for all aspects of the product that your team is responsible for
  • Dive deep into the various segments we serve, and come to understand their problems -- through research, analytics and frequent interaction with customers
  • Articulate and outline those problems, and work with your cross-functional team to design and deliver compelling solutions
  • Help steer and direct the day-to-day work of your team, with an eye to shipping often and learning quickly
  • Take charge of measuring the impact of your changes, using both quantitative and qualitative measures, immediately after release and beyond
  • Work to uphold the quality of the product, and focus on delivering high quality software in every release
  • 3+ years experience as a B2B product manager with a proven track record of delivering successful product releases that drive growth and retention and evaluating their impact and ROI
  • Very strong analysis skills that help you define problems and create evidence based, persuasive cases for new features
  • Demonstrated experience moving into an industry niche you weren’t familiar with beforehand, learning that world and successfully shipping product for it
  • Very keen eye for detail. DISCO is design led, so it’s very important that you think deeply about product design decisions and always work to create simple, clean, intuitive UI
  • Excellent communication skills. You’re able to clearly articulate product decisions and the reasoning behind them. You take care in your written communication, understanding the importance of concision and clarity in a team where almost half of the team don’t have English as a first language
  • You have strong experience working with qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. You’ve conducted user research and a/b tests and are comfortable working in this space

The Role

DISCO is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us build the operating system for the music industry. You’ll join our Platforms team, where you’ll design beautiful flows for our core app experience, create exciting new product capabilities and help manage and centralise our design system. The successful candidate:

  • Will have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Product Designer in Australia
  • Has demonstrated experience driving great UX outcomes within a cross-functional team alongside Product Managers and Engineers
  • Is able to move between different phases of a new feature, from research and discovery through to final UI polish, with ease
  • Cares about getting the little details right, but also has a desire to interrogate and understand the drivers and context behind the work they’re doing
  • Is a natural team player, and will make valuable contributions to their team as well as the broader Product Design practice at DISCO

Responsibilities

Reporting to our Head of Product, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with the product and engineering peers within your cross-functional team to deliver great outcomes for our customers
  • Drive the process for design, iteration and polish of the core features that your team is responsible for
  • Work with the other designers and frontend engineers at DISCO to standardise and evolve our design system, and ensure its adoption across our product portfolio
  • Lead customer research and discovery for your team, helping ensure our customers’ voice is represented during the prioritisation and scoping/design phases of their work
  • Proactively identify pain points and rough edges within DISCO’s UX, and work with your colleagues across product and design to plan and execute on a steady stream of improvements
  • Provide feedback and critique to your peers in product and design, improving the quality of our work and contributing to how our processes evolve over time
  • Help support our agile ways of working by actively contributing to standups, retros and team planning

You should have at least 3 years of experience in the following areas:

  • User Research
  • UX Design
  • UI Design (Figma)
  • Product discovery and sense-making
  • Group facilitation / Problem solving
  • Exposure to Design Systems, including rolling out changes and supporting adoption

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with front-end development technologies (either HTML/CSS or React)
  • Experience working on a product related the creative industries (ie audio/video/media)
