REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Interpret EV standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation; including but not limited to UL 2202, UL 2231-1, UL 2231-2, UL 991, UL 2594, UL 458, UL 1741. (The Engineer should have a good understanding of standards and be willing to gain knowledge as time goes on)

  • The Engineer should have the knowledge to quote EV standards as needed with sales.
  • The Engineer should be technical enough to get on technical calls to address open items related to his/her project or others.
  • Review files and reports prepared by other project engineers; including but not limited to peer reviews.
  • Conduct preliminary design reviews.
  • Monitor multiple projects.
  • Prepare certification reports and related documents (e.g., approval letters, test report forms, etc.).
  • The engineer could work from home to wrap up project paperwork side of things as needed with permission of department manager. But should report to the laboratory for projects testing once new project is added to the calendar. Testing could also be done on client site, so some travel is required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Four-year engineering college degree – Electrical Engineer or Engineering discipline preferred
  • Associate degree in engineering/technology is the minimal degree needed.
  • Prior experience performing certification for EV devices at another testing, inspection and certification laboratory preferred.  
  • 3 to 4 years of experience needed at minimal, but candidates with 6+ years of experience would be considered senior level when applying.

Job Description

The Sales Director integrates the roles of sales manager and strategic market 
planning manager to achieve organic growth for Eurofins Built Environment Testing 
laboratories consistent with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s 
overall sales and marketing objectives. The Sales Director position has two 
main functions, which are managing and mentoring assigned Account 
Executives (AEs) to individual/team performance expectations of established 
Sales Delta in LIMS portfolio and partnering with operations and marketing to 
drive strategic plans to meet the overall Eurofins Environment Built Environment
business strategy.

  • Recruit, manage, evaluate, train, mentor and support assigned AEs. 
  • Work with Sales Teams, Laboratory Directors (LDs), Project Managers (PMs), Customer Service Managers (CSMs) and General Mangers (GMs) to organically grow LIMS portfolios. 
  • Field sales management, including on-site client visits with AEs, which will include considerable travel. 
  • Develop and execute laboratory specific marketing & sales plans supportive of Eurofins Built Environment Testing East organic growth objectives. 
  • Foster Eurofins Built Environment Testing’s national account program development consistent with Eurofins Environment Testing America companywide organic growth objectives. 
  • Work closely with Eurofins Environment Testing USA's Marketing center to implement Eurofins Environment Testing USA's marketing program, including proposing items for inclusion in marketing activity plans.
  • Drive revenue targets in specialty segments. 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each

Job Description

Position Summary

The Biosafety Senior Scientific Advisor (SSA) will serve as subject matter expert, providing advice externally to clients and prospects and internally to business development, project management, and operational leadership on the testing requirements involving Eurofins GMP Biosafety services including Cell Bank Production/Characterization, Viral Clearance, and Unprocessed Bulk lot release testing. SSA will work independently and with field sales to prospect existing and new companies, identify client testing needs, provide solutions, quote testing programs, and win new business. The SSA will also work collaboratively with operations and program management to develop technical scopes in response to RFQ/RFPs. The role may also include participation in webinars, conferences, and other public speaking opportunities.

 

Biosafety Senior Scientific Advisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as subject matter expert in the GMP biosafety testing requirements for the large molecule and cell/gene therapy biopharmaceutical drug development process, including manufacturing of cell banks, release/characterization testing of cell banks, bulk harvest/unprocessed bulk testing, and viral clearance. 
  • Own and manage the sales activities of the Biosafety services lines of Eurofins BPT.  Reporting of wins, loses, and open opportunities monthly to sales and operational leadership.
    • Execute independently and collaborate as needed with external field sales to continue progressing open opportunities to closure.
    • Maintain the biosafety opportunity pipeline via CRM system. Work with clients to follow-up on outstanding proposals and capture details around opportunity closure.
  • Work independently and with field sales to execute in-person client meetings, lead discussions with client key stakeholders, and secure contracts for work within assigned service line(s). 
    • Targeting 15 in-person client meetings/month with client stakeholders (process development, quality control, manufacturing, etc.)
    • Expected travel: 40%
  • Partner with Business Unit (BU) leaders to understand each laboratory’s capabilities and expertise to ensure programs are placed appropriately within the Eurofins BPT network.
  • Understand the client‘s scientific, regulatory, and business needs and provide solutions to these needs through technical work scopes, establishing Eurofins BPT as the most experienced and best overall value for each specific program.
  • Monitor marketplace for competitive pricing and biosafety strategy.
  • Responsible for monitoring regulatory and scientific trends in the industry to maintain Eurofins BPT’s position as an innovative, solutions-oriented company.
  • Facilitate contract/project hand-off meetings with project management and operations to communicate all details necessary for successful project execution.
  • Responsible for publishing in the form of white papers, webinars, and e-blasts and conducting speaking engagements/presentations to increase Eurofins BPT s reputation as the industry expert.
  • Work with the RSMs to develop appropriate strategies to maximize market penetration and quote win ratios.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • A bachelor’s or advance degree in the life sciences plus a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Experience with therapeutic proteins/mAb’s, ADCs, and cell/gene therapy testing.
  • Contract Testing Organization (CTO) experience.
  • Understanding of the biopharmaceutical development process from R&D; inception through launch, including testing requirements for product approval and cGMP quality systems.

POSITION

As a Senior Field Engineer you will conduct on-site Field Evaluations of electrical equipment for compliance to regulatory product safety standards (UL, NFPA, CSA, ANSI, etc.). Perform construction and engineering review of electrical equipment in a multitude of industries (manufacturing, laboratory, medical, commercial, retail, food service, etc.). 100% travel both domestic and internationally, though majority of travel will be within the lower 48 (must possess or be able to obtain a passport). 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Field Engineers’ duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Field Evaluations under the Eurofins E&E North America/MET Labs Field Labeling program
  • Review scope of work and identify all necessary items prior to arranging travel
  • Responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements
  • Communicate with client, AHJ, contractors, and other relevant parties
  • Identify applicability of national codes and standards
  • Review manuals, schematics, BOMs, site procedures, data sheets and more
  • Document construction details and any non-conformances during the inspection
  • Assess compliance to the relevant UL, NFPA, CSA, or ANSI standards
  • Determine eligibility of equipment for labeling and issue all final reports
  • Submit all expenses and necessary documentation for billing
  • Meet or exceed minimum billing goals while meeting project deadlines
  • Grow relationships with clients and promote our company and the various services we offer

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and personal attributes:

  • Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • MUST have direct Field Engineering experience with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) or Field Evaluation Body (FEB) using product safety standards.
  • Experience as a Follow-Up Inspector is not relevant unless there is experience performing multiple UL 508A training seminars.
  • Conversant with UL 508A, UL 61010-1, UL 73, NFPA 70, & NFPA 79.
  • Though not required, experience with Hazardous Location and CSA standards is desired.
  • Must have strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills as the candidate will interact with customers on many different levels.
  • Must be able to work in elevated and/or confined spaces.  Must be able to lift 30+ pounds.
  • This position requires a strong electrical background and understanding of electrical systems.

Eurofins Careers: een nieuw gecentraliseerd recruitment team binnen de decentrale organisatie Eurofins Nederland. Natuurlijk ga je je bezig houden met het invullen van vacatures. Maar let op, bij Eurofins werven we talent. Want de beste kandidaten bouwen samen de beste organisatie. Wat is jouw defnitie van talent?

In deze nieuwe functie ben je betrokken bij het volledige proces, end-to-end recruitment zoals we dat noemen. Het betreft vacatures in onze staf/support organisatie en het leidinggevend kader. Je ontzorgt HR en de Hiring Manager, maar je bent ook sturend. Wat is haalbaar op de arbeidsmarkt en wat niet, hoe interpreteer je de assessment resultaten van de kandidaat en hoe ziet de selectieprocedure er uit. Jij bent de Business Partner voor talent en aarzelt niet om gevraagd en ongevraagd advies te geven. Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Intake van de vacature en medebepalen van de prioriteiten binnen jouw portefeuille.
  • Hanteren van de juiste (creatieve) wervingsstrategie en deze ook (succesvol) executeren.
  • Interviewen en voorstellen van kandidaten, je volgt het proces op totdat de kandidaat is afgewezen of zijn/haar handtekening onder het contract zet. Je bent echter niet verantwoordelijk voor de personeelsadministratie.  

Hier houdt het echter niet op! Eurofins Careers gaat bouwen aan het werkgeversmerk Eurofins en alle bijbehorende thema’s. Er is veel ruimte voor eigen invulling en projecten gebaseerd op jouw eigen ondernemerschap en gesignaleerde potentiële verbeteringen. Dit alles in de juiste verhoudingen en balans.

De standplaats: het nieuwe team zal gezamenlijk 2 dagen in de week werkzaam zijn vanaf een locatie Zuid-Holland of Utrecht. Op de overige dagen wordt er flexibel gewerkt, zowel op onze verschillende locaties als thuis indien de werkzaamheden dit toelaten. We voorzien dat met enige flexibiliteit dit haalbaar zal zijn voor kandidaten uit de Randstad tot en met Deventer en Wageningen. Om dit werkbaar te maken is een lease auto onderdeel van het arbeidsvoorwaardenpakket.

 

Functie-eisen

Voor deze functie zijn wij op zoek naar iemand met minimaal een afgeronde Bsc of Msc en je hebt aantoonbaar ervaring met recruitment. Verder vinden we het vooral belangrijk dat je:

  • Affiniteit voelt met de diensten van Eurofins, marktleider met high tech laboratoria waar we vanuit productieperspectief op hoog volume testresultaten genereren voor klanten in heel uiteenlopende segmenten.
