Location:Remote, preferably on the East Coast or Southeast Region. Ideally near a major airport. Willingness to travel 50-80%

The A&D Representative position is an overlay sales support role responsible for developing A&D relationships to increase awareness about student requirements for well-being and self-directed learning in order to achieve better study results within a developing educational environment in schools, within the design community and drive new business opportunities for the clients sales professionals.

As the A&D Rep with our client, your role encompasses:

    • Identify project activity at the design firm level early in the design process
    • Communicate project activity in team strategy sessions to insure appropriate design firm involvement
    • Drive product specifications through A&D firms and manage until order is secured
    • Train designers on ergonomic workplace solutions for their prospects and customers
    • Achieve and exceed project activity, design specification, and office sales goals
    • Completing project activity and specification tracker reports and maintain design firm contact list
    • Involvement and coordination of industry events, Hedge Seminars and build the company brand
    • Strong understanding of all of the company's products, including conceptional room approaches based on activity based learning scenarios
    • Effectively work with other personnel to exceed sales goals
    • Coordinate design events and entertain clients on a monthly basis
    • Facilitate presentations for prospective customers

    What Our Client Is Looking For:

    • 3+ years of business sales experience
    • Successful track record in planning, execution, and networking
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
    • Education in design or related fields is a plus
    • Knowledge and/or experience in educational furniture or related industries is a plus
    • Solid understanding of corporate design
    • Proficiency in MS Office and associated applications is required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
    • Aggressive follow-up and closing skills
    • Be an enthusiastic and active member of local professional organizations

    • Background in the packaging sector is preferred, with an existing network being a significant asset.
    • Strong customer service and negotiation skills, with a hands-on approach and well-organized work habits.
