As a Senior Software Engineer at KIPP, you will play a critical role within the Application Development team, which is responsible for the development and support of custom-built applications, as well as the integration of products and solutions developed by external vendors. You will be deeply involved in designing and developing applications that directly impact the education and success of thousands of students across the country, while overseeing the integration of systems to ensure seamless data flow across the organization. Responsibilities
Application Design and Development
Work closely with key stakeholders to scope user requirements and align technical solutions with KIPP's mission of improving student outcomes.
Provide subject matter expertise in developing new features for existing applications and determining the appropriate platforms for new initiatives.
Propose a comprehensive architecture to solve business requirements, ensuring alignment with KIPP’s overall technology strategy and framework.
Design and develop information architecture and navigation layouts, prioritizing usability and user adoption to enhance the user experience.
Customize and enhance applications across multiple technology platforms to meet KIPP's operational needs.
Oversee and review technical designs and code produced by consultants, ensuring quality and alignment with KIPP’s standards.
Ensure comprehensive unit testing and participate in the user acceptance testing process to deliver high-quality applications.
DevOps and Deployment
Oversee the deployment pipeline, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery of applications across development, staging, and production environments.
Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of code changes while maintaining system stability.
Manage and automate the release process, implementing practices to minimize downtime and reduce risk during deployments.
Ensure all environments (development, staging, production) are properly configured and optimized for performance, availability, and security.
Monitor the health and performance of applications and infrastructure, addressing issues proactively to ensure high availability and system integrity.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data and application continuity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain version control, manage code repositories, and handle branching and merging strategies efficiently.
Work with the operations team to maintain servers and manage infrastructure scaling and optimization.
Application Support and Infrastructure
Serve as Tier II support for unresolved application issues, working closely with the Helpdesk Technician to provide timely and efficient solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
Collaborate with the IT Operations team to ensure that applications are patched, upgraded, and fully operational during scheduled maintenance windows.
Develop processes, in collaboration with the IT Operations team, to ensure data security, high availability, and effective disaster recovery strategies.
Documentation
Provide written design documents and regularly update documentation with as-built information for accuracy and continuity.
Maintain thorough documentation of the Application Development infrastructure, including server and database inventories, application licenses, and related technical resources.

Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in software development is mandatory, with a strong emphasis on hands-on development, architecture, integration projects, delivering complex solutions, and proven technical leadership.
Expertise in building and enhancing applications within Salesforce, including APEX, Flows, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and SOQL.
Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages such as C#, along with front-end technologies like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Experience with database management, including SQL Server, BigQuery, and data modeling, as well as integration through API endpoints (OAuth2).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, version control, and automated deployments.
Experience working in cloud environments (Azure) and managing application infrastructure for high availability.
Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress), marketing tools (HubSpot), system integration tools (SSIS), and identity management with OneLogin.

The Executive Support Manager (ESM) is a key member of the KIPP Delta team to support the Executive Director (ED), who is based in the KIPP Delta office located in Blytheville, AR. (The ESM can work at the KIPP Delta office and at a remote site.) The ESM will work to increase the efficiency and effectiveness as well as to identify and take action on core communications to drive the impact of KIPP Delta’s ED. Key Responsibilities
Support
Work directly with the Executive Director to support all aspects of their daily work routine including calendaring, inbox management, meeting agenda preparation, internal and external communications, and task prioritization.
Serve as a liaison between the ED, KIPP Delta Public Schools (KDPS) staff and the public. This includes answering a variety of questions with tact and diplomacy, taking messages, and directing calls and/or emails appropriately for resolution.
Coordinate work with other KDPS staff as needed; play a key role in the coordination of staff efforts.
Provide coordination, monitoring, and communication of projects and programs managed by KDPS.
Assist in KDPS activities and processes including project planning, intake, prioritization, initiation, and execution; as well as in fostering collaboration of end-users and key stakeholders.
Determine priority of matters of attention for the ED; redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate.
Attend board meetings and take notes of discussion; prepare the initial draft of board meeting minutes and summaries.

About The Position
The Vice President of KIPP Forward will set the vision and lead a team to ensure that excellent student academic outcomes are achieved and seamlessly integrates with our national high school counseling and our college-and-career preparation programs for KIPP Public Schools. The VP, in collaboration with the senior leadership of the broader Schools team and KIPP Foundation, ensures that KIPP Forward’s theory of action aligns with KIPP’s broader theory of change, and supports the KIPP Forward team in implementing the theory of action with regional leaders and their KIPP Forward teams at the regional and school level. Expanding the set of champions invested in and engaged with KIPP, at the national and regional level, is critical to deliver our ambition. Under the leadership of Chief Development Officer (CDO) Ben Cope, a longtime KIPP leader with a track record of raising gifts from high net worth individuals and institutions, our talented, passionate development team seeks to add three Senior Directors, Major Gifts who will each play a pivotal role in fueling the One KIPP plan and advancing educational opportunity.
Reporting to the CDO, each Senior Director, Major Gifts is responsible for: identifying and cultivating individual donors to invest in KIPP at the national and regional level, raising $5-20 million per year, and managing and stewarding major gifts. They will partner with 2-5 KIPP regions to cultivate local donors for joint national and regional investments; this is a new approach to our work, and the person will be shaping the approach alongside our Chief Development Officer.
The right person will bring a passion for KIPP’s students; an unquenchable drive to meet ambitious goals; and experience inspiring high net worth individuals. They bring the highest level of care and intentionality to their work and are energized by serving as an external leader representing KIPP. The person in this role will join a talented, passionate development team with strong operations and communications capacity.
Fundraising: Identify and Cultivate Individual Donors
Raise $5-20 million per year, primarily from identifying new prospects and managing a portfolio of existing KIPP champions, to fuel KIPP Foundation and regions’ work in pursuit of One KIPP
Lead the acquisition of new donors and supporters for KIPP Foundation’s national work and KIPP regions’ work locally, including identifying new prospects, crafting engagement plans, and cultivating relationships. To this end, conduct outreach to a minimum of 20 prospective champions annually
Develop and execute comprehensive engagement, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for each investor in portfolio
Serve as donors’ and prospects’ main point of contact, understanding and being positioned to communicate content and impact of One KIPP, nationally and regionally. As needed, seek input from KIPP Foundation and regional colleagues to fully address donors’ inquiries

KIPP Delta seeks an experienced and knowledgeable hands-on Managing Director of Finance (MDF) who will lead and manage all budgeting, daily accounting operations, audit, compliance, and monthly/annual financial reporting for an organization with a $19MM+ annual budget.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the MDF is responsible for overseeing all financial functions and business operations within KIPP Delta. In doing so, the MDF will be charged with refining and executing on the strategic financial vision for the organization and managing a team to sustain efficiency in all aspects of finance, accounting, and grants management. These duties also include processing payroll and securing loans as needed.
The MDF will work closely with the senior leadership team, school staff, and others across the organization to streamline systems, update policies, and enforce standard operating procedures that ensure financial accuracy and provide maximum benefit to the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning (15%)
Support the development of a strategic financial plan reflecting educational priorities and sustainability.
Lead the annual budget and forecast processes.
Refine and maintain financial models with input from senior leadership that will inform both near term and long-term decision making by school and regional leaders.
Support the acquisition and planning for new facilities, vehicles, and sizable equipment and technology, determining cost-effective solutions related to the expansion of the region.
Management and Leadership (15%)
Manage and develop competencies of the regional finance team members.

Support KIPP Delta directors and managers with the training, tools, and supervision needed to effectively manage financial operations within their department or school.

Fiscal Policy (5%)

Finance and Accounting Management (25%)
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process.
Ensure the day-to-day financial activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with state and federal rules.
Maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures consistent with GAAP, GASB, and/or FASB as applicable for an Arkansas non-profit public school as prescribed in the Arkansas Financial Handbook.
Manage cash collection procedures and ensure policy adherence.
Oversee credit card processes, including balance availability, limit increases, fraudulent activity, issues and/or problems.
Manage the accounting system, eFinance; accounts payable system, AvidXchange; and time management system, SwipeClock; and ensure it is meeting the needs of the organization.
Ensure acceptable cash balances in each bank account and make transfers as needed.
Provide training to end users on KIPP Delta’s financial and timekeeping systems and accounting policies and procedures, chart of accounts, etc.
Manage the annual financial audit and 990 tax process.
Process adjustments and other journal entries as needed.
Maintain the chart of accounts.
Maintain and manage fixed assets in the financial system.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
Research and resolve transaction errors and re-class as needed.
Manage inter-organizational transfers and reporting.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable batches prior to posting and processing.
Provide support to the Executive Director as needed.
Payroll (15%)
Ensure monthly payroll entries and adjustments, salary allocations, and payroll/ benefits/ATRS/payroll tax import and journal entries are complete and accurate.
Review and verify late start, transition, payout, and FMLA worksheets.
Approve payroll before submission.
Ensure the active employee list ties to the active budget.
Manage annual processing of W-2s and 1095s in coordination with Finance/HR.
Process quarterly filings such as 941s and Employment Security reports.
Coordinate with the Human Resources Director on payroll related issues, procedures, and policies as needed.
Audit and Compliance (10%)
Actively monitor encumbered grants and work with entities to ensure maximum benefit for students.
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors and ensure accuracy of data and information for the annual audit.
Record the minutes of Finance Committee meetings and make them available according to regulations.
Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with cash, grant accounting, and accounts payable/receivable policies and procedures.
Manage commercial banking relationships and monitor cash and debt levels.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
Reporting (10%)
Ensure bank reconciliations, financial reports, and state required information is accurate and submitted timely to external stakeholders.
Review budget variances and report significant issues to management.
Create and manage various financial reports to assist with budget and grant analyses.
Conduct financial analyses as needed.
Create and submit Cycle Reports 8, 9, and 1 to Arkansas Department of Education (ADE).
Provide assistance with other mandated state reports.
Assist the Child Nutrition Director with submission of monthly claims.
Grants Management and Administration (5%)
Assist in grant reporting and provide information and backup documentation as needed.
Work with team and school-based staff to track spending against restricted grants to ensure maximum benefit and appropriate spending.
Ensure capital loan and grant reporting is accurate and meets the needs of the internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure correct coding and entries.
Be responsive to ADE financial requests and provide support to the Executive Director.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Five to ten years of experience in an accounting role with a successful track record; prior nonprofit, fund accounting, and/or K-12 education experience is preferred.
Proficient in MS Excel and other MS products.
