What your new job can look like…

This role will work closely with our General Counsel to provide high quality legal advice across GDPR and privacy, software and service contracts (mainly under US laws), software license arrangements and intellectual property. As part of a small, tight-knit legal team, you will get the opportunity to be exposed to a range of different areas and develop your skills.

With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same!  But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Drafting, negotiating and managing contractual arrangements for Moodle, usually under Australian and US laws.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in reviewing contracts and making recommendations.
  • Ensuring all contract negotiations consider the appropriate risk and regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Taking a strong supporting role in data privacy matters (particularly GDPR) with Moodle’s external DPO and customer support via Moodle’s CRM.
  • Assisting the General Counsel to maintain the company's awareness of current and soon to be introduced privacy law requirements in different jurisdictions.

This is afully remote role that will require you to work across multiple time zones, primarily Europe and the US, with occasional meetings in the Australian time zone.

  • Proven experience as a Legal Officer or Contracts Officer.

What your new job can look like…

This role will work closely with our General Counsel and Legal Officers to provide administrative support including direct stakeholder interaction, managing Privacy and Trademark support desk queues, drafting correspondence and assisting with all aspects of trademark infringement and data protection and privacy compliance for Moodle.  As part of a small, tight-knit legal team, you will get the opportunity to be exposed to a range of different areas and develop your skills.

With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same!  But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Advising (and policing) external and internal parties on Moodle’s policies relating to trademark protection.
  • Assessing and managing data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) with our external Data Protection Officer and assisting with the development of privacy data protection compliance processes.
  • Answering customer and stakeholder enquiries relating to data privacy practices with the focus on GDPR within our CRM and support systems.
  • Managing all support activities within our customer support systems associated with our IP and trademarks, including assisting with the answering, actioning and resolution of support desk tickets.
  • Maintaining Moodle’s trade mark register and trade mark (infringement) watchlist.
  • Managing all legal/compliance support activities within Moodle’s support systems.

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or Compliance Officer.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace e.g. Google Docs. 
  • Strong customer service case flow and project management skills.

The Technical Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for the technical management and optimisation of our Salesforce environment and other related sales and marketing systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, understanding of business needs and strategic thinking, enabling the individual to design and implement scalable solutions, and integrate Salesforce with other systems. The specialist will also oversee other commercial systems like HubSpot , 6sense and Intercom, ensuring they are effectively utilised and integrated with Salesforce.

At Moodle, no two days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the sales process and implement solutions
  • Optimising lead creation and assignment process of inbound leads from our webforms and chatbot to our downstream sales teams 
  • Integrating new acquisitions in to our support systems and processes
  • Integrating new and existing systems in to Salesforce
  • Creating reports and dashboards 
  • Prioritising and processing inbound technical commercial requests related to commercial systems as well as new feature requests.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure any changes to products or services are reflected in training updates
  • Working with external vendors to resolve complex technical problems
  • Propose and maintain relevant information architecture in Salesforce & other related systems to ensure data cleanliness, alignment and standardisation of data across Moodle.
  • Helping us moving towards and maintaining Salesforce as our single source of truth

  • Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills in English
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce and related systems combined with an understanding of sales and marketing business requirements.
