Responsibilities:

As a Product Manager at Nauto, you will report to the Senior Director, Product Management, AI and partner closely with other product leaders, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to make our vision of making safe driving simple a reality. It is expected that you will quickly develop expert knowledge of our customers, our offerings, and the market. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building and delivering full stack solutions for some of the largest commercial vehicle fleets to help keep their drivers safe and reduce operational costs.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead critical elements of our device hardware and software portfolio to enable the next wave of automotive AI innovations 
  • Define and continuously improve our embedded AI software stack including edge applications and AI SDKs
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, validate product ideas, and support sales efforts. 
  • Launch new internal and customer-facing features in close collaboration with Engineering and Marketing teams in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Ensure we are building globally usable, scalable products 
  • Focus on KPIs and data-driven decision making to ensure we remain at the industry's forefront
  • Communicate the benefits and champion the product throughout the organization

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of proven experience in Product Management, Product Design, or Product Development
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Expertise with Automotive, Smart Home, Wearable, Telematics or other IoT products
  • Strong focus on user-centered design and measurable outcomes
  • Foundational knowledge of Computer Vision and Edge AI systems
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers/ODMs and design houses
  • Experience with SoCs, neural processing units (NPUs), image sensors and interfaces (MIPI, PCI-E)

Responsibilities:

As part of a small legal team, you’ll lead Nauto’s commercial legal function and report directly to Nauto’s Head of Legal. This is a high-growth, interdisciplinary position.  We believe our attorneys add tremendous value to the company, but they cannot give good legal advice in a vacuum.  You’ll be plugged into all aspects of our business and it’s important that you are interested in and become immersed in our business and products.  We use cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence to help human drivers be safer on the road, so an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science is a definite plus.

  • Lead Nauto’s commercial legal function.
  • Drive execution efficiently on a wide variety of both inbound and outbound relationships.
  • Counsel company executives and other internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.

  • You are a transactional generalist, with extensive experience working on complex IP licensing and commercial agreements across a variety of business models (hardware, software, and cloud combination offerings, pure SaaS, data monetization, etc.).
  • You understand (or will quickly learn) the business deal so you know what matters and what doesn't.
  • You are passionate about helping companies strike the right balance between risk and reward, and employ a practical and customer-centric orientation and negotiation style.

Minimum Requirements

These are the minimum qualifications that we believe are necessary for the position:

  • 6+ years of technology transactions legal experience, of which at least two years were in a top-tier law firm, preferably working with technology companies. A mix of general corporate (startup) and technology transactions experience is a plus.
  • 1+ years of non-legal work experience prior to law school, preferably in a for-profit technology company.
  • You have a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school and an active membership in at least one US state.

  • Ensure that all development, testing, and validation timing meet customer milestones and deliverables based on internal and supplier development schedules.
  • Manage program according to A-SPICE processes.
  • Work with the team closely to understand the status of the development, identify issue areas, propose solutions to those areas, and report the status to management as well as to customer frequently.
  • Establish software program timing plans to proactively guide projects through all phases of software development and ensure progress is being made toward project completion and meeting customer expectations and deliverables. Identify potential project risks and issues, alerting team members, contributing to identifying solutions, and escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure to meet internal and external gate requirements for software development and present the status of the programs in management gate reviews.
  • Initiate, maintain, and publish program/project open issue lists, summary, and status. Follow up with internal teams and customer to make sure that issues are being tracked, resolved, and closed.
  • Manage suppliers developing different parts of the product code and report status to the teams internally and include the update to the overall SW development plan.
