ProVeg International is hiring a Remote Junior Project Manager (all genders)

Role Summary
The main part of your role (appr. 20h/week) will be to execute and manage ProVeg’s 
perspective project that we just kicked off with other non-profit partners and aims to analyze 
the sustainability efforts of German supermarkets and using the results of the analysis to 
engage with those retail companies. You will mainly do coordination work that requires 
communication with internal and external stakeholders, event planning and diligent 
execution according to the project plan.

As Junior Project Manager, you should have a structured way of working. We are looking for 
a proactive communicator (mail, telephone or face-to-face at events), who is comfortable 
handling various different tasks at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Realisation, planning and coordination of all project activities in close coordination with the teamlead

  • Supporting in the delivery of our consulting projects
  • Supporting in the delivery of research projects that build the foundation of our consulting and publication work

Qualifications

Required:

  • Prior working experience in projects with external partners

Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow and forecasts to support strategic business planning and decision-making.

  • Budget Management: Oversee and lead on the annual international budgeting and planning process (involving all ProVeg entities and departments). Administer and review all international financial plans and budgets; maintain all program budgets.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly (P&L and balance sheets) management reports, quarterly variance reports, annual financial reports, donor-specific or grant reports, and other income generation reports to the Global CEO, and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. 

  • Financial Risk & Compliance Management: Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk, leverage financial opportunities, and ensure financial compliance with charity laws and other guidelines. Remain up-to-date on best practices in non-profit finance, and relevant laws regarding non-profit operation. 

  • Finance Operations and governance: Oversee and improve internal financial policies and procedures such as implementation of central finance software, donations and grants tracking, ensuring value for money by applying internal auditing principles, and advising/supporting country directors and finance managers as well as organisations joining the ProVeg global network.
Qualifications
  • Relevant accounting qualification preferred, though candidates qualified by experience will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field desirable; graduate degree or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the non-profit sector. Experience of implementing and maintaining strong financial controls.

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and finance operations.

  • Excellent data skills, including Google Workspace, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software. Desirable: experience of implementing new accounting software.

  • Calm and professional attitude, high level of integrity, accuracy, and a strong sense for due diligence.

  • Experience consolidating multiple entities, ideally including different currencies.

  • Collaborative attitude, solution-focused, and supportive of international colleagues (particularly Country Directors & Country Finance Managers, International Department Heads and International Operations team).

Role Summary

As our Director of Philanthropy, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future where everyone chooses delicious, healthy food that is good for all humans, animals, and the planet. You will define and implement the fundraising strategy for the next three years. By implementing effective giving strategies of key stakeholders in Europe and beyond, you will support their ambition to create a better world.

Your key responsibilities will include cultivating relationships with existing and new major donors, Trusts and Foundations, particularly in the areas of climate and health. You will also engage mid-value supporters and relevant stakeholders, including the corporate sector. You will lead a small global development team and support ProVeg's country fundraising strategies. Apart from several important long-term and new major donors and foundations, ProVeg International does not have a large supporter database. It will be your responsibility to identify and develop growth strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a confident fundraiser with broad experience building strong relationships with, and securing funding from, major donors/HNWI, trusts and foundations, and corporate donors within environmental or other international organisations.

Responsibilities

1. Major Gifts, Corporates and Foundations

  • Identify and prepare proposals for new revenue streams (think outside the box!), with an emphasis on the climate-food nexus. This includes potential HNWIs as well as large institutions, corporates and climate foundations.

  • Identify and develop processes and systems to support the growth of major-donor and foundation income.

  • Identify suitable projects within the strategic plan to create the case for support for ProVeg countries and programmes, which fulfill donor preferences and foundation strategic priorities.

  • Oversee fundraising events for major donors, and assist the President in managing donor relationships.


2. Management & Leadership

  • Lead the International Fundraising team, setting annual goals, providing regular feedback, conducting annual performance reviews, and supporting continuous professional development.

  • Mentor country-specific Fundraising colleagues and support ProVeg's country revenue-generation strategies.


3. Development Planning

  • Design, develop, and implement a resource mobilization and cultivation strategy for one and three-year periods in collaboration with the President and CEO

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in senior fundraising at a non-profit, preferably with an international focus. A similar or additional corporate background would also be useful.

  • Understanding of effective altruism, and up-to-date knowledge of European fundraising trends.

  • A track record of identifying and securing significant, multi-year funds from donors (minimum five to six-figures), particularly new donors and foundations. 

  • Significant experience in researching and developing strong stakeholder relationships, as well as experience with writing concise reports.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including confident demeanor and experience in engaging with a diverse range of high-net-worth individuals. 

  • Proficient CRM skills and familiarity with fundraising tracking tools and project management

  • Willingness to travel, approximately six times per year.

  • Strong motivation to support the plant-based movement.

Met de Veggie Challenge app leren we deelnemers over de vele voordelen van plantaardig eten. De app ondersteunt gebruikers onder andere met tips, recepten en coaching. Deelnemers aan de challenge kunnen hun dieet bijhouden en beloningen verdienen zoals badges en uitdagende recepten. Als back-end developer voor de Veggie Challenge App speel je een cruciale rol in het creëren van een naadloze en boeiende gebruikerservaring, waarbij je de technische basis legt voor functies zoals het bijhouden van de voortgang gedurende de challenge en het verdienen van beloningen.

Als lid van ons app-team, dat bestaat uit twee andere ontwikkelaars en een designer, ben jij de drijvende kracht achter het ontwikkelen van nieuwe functionaliteiten en het onderhouden van bestaande functies.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis:Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow and forecasts to support strategic business planning and decision-making.

  • Budget Management: Oversee and lead on the annual international budgeting and planning process (involving all ProVeg entities and departments). Administer and review all international financial plans and budgets; maintain all program budgets.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly (P&L and balance sheets) management reports, quarterly variance reports, annual financial reports, donor-specific or grant reports, and other income generation reports to the Global CEO, and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Audit and Compliance:Coordinate and manage financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. 

  • Financial Risk & Compliance Management: Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk, leverage financial opportunities, and ensure financial compliance with charity laws and other guidelines. Remain up-to-date on best practices in non-profit finance, and relevant laws regarding non-profit operation. 

  • Finance Operations and governance: Oversee and improve internal financial policies and procedures such as implementation of central finance software, donations and grants tracking, ensuring value for money by applying internal auditing principles, and advising/supporting country directors and finance managers as well as organisations joining the ProVeg global network.

Qualifications
  • Relevant accounting qualification preferred, though candidates qualified by experience will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field desirable; graduate degree or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in the non-profit sector. Experience of implementing and maintaining strong financial controls.

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and finance operations.

  • Excellent data skills, including Google Workspace, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software. Desirable: experience of implementing new accounting software.

  • Calm and professional attitude, high level of integrity, accuracy, and a strong sense for due diligence.

International income generation

  • Research and prepare proposals (together with the Grant writer) for international major donors, trusts and foundations, and where relevant, corporate opportunities, and coordinate international and joint fundraising campaigns.

  • Acquire and build relationships with potential major donors and foundations in the US, UK, and beyond; support the Founding President and Senior Leadership Team with existing donor relationships.

  • Identify suitable projects within the organisation’s plan in order to build cases for support and satisfy donor wish lists.

  • Develop pitch packages and stories for different audiences, in particular donors motivated by reasons other than animal protection.

  • Together with the events coordinator, organise fundraising events, including private events for major donors as well as public events for donors of all levels. 


Country-specific and infrastructure support

  • Chair the international fundraising calls, support ProVeg country directors and national fundraising teams with strategy development, practical advice, expertise and processes.

  • Identify and develop processes and systems to support the growth of major donor and trust and foundation income. 

  • Help build the global fundraising infrastructure, including but not limited to:

    • Guidelines/policies

    • Giving platforms

    • Strengthening CRM use and internal coordination

    • Project impact evaluation with the Monitoring Evaluation & Learning team

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience of senior fundraising at an NGO, preferably international.

  • A track record of identifying and securing significant, and/or multi-year, five-figure+ funds from donors, foundations and/or corporates.

  • Ability to turn numbers, outcomes and goals into a compelling story.

  • Evidence of successful proposal writing, from start to finish, as well as experience with writing concise reports.

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, including documentation of work, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively.

  • Expertise in the development of strategies and proposals.

  • Significant experience in researching and developing strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience with organising or contributing to inspiring, creative, and persuasive events for major donors.

  • Support the organisation and coordination of multi-stakeholder projects and actions involving several NGO’s, including the delivery of the Food & Climate Action Group’s joint FAO Roadmap project and Branding project, and private sector partners as well as partnerships with other COP pavilions

  • Help unlocking Food Systems Transformation within the UN space through our “Food4Climate” community and support other efforts (lobbying and Youth Board)

ProVeg Nederland is op zoek naar een gedreven en ervaren fondsenwerver. In deze rol ben je verantwoordelijk voor vrijwel alle fondsenwervingsactiviteiten binnen ProVeg Nederland. Je bent in de lead voor zowel het ontwikkelen als het uitvoeren van de fondsenwervingsstrategieën, de werving, binding en het behoud van particuliere donateurs en het binnenhalen van fondsen voor onze projecten. Zo draag je bij aan een stevige fundering voor de organisatie en onze core-activiteiten.
Job Details

In deze afwisselende baan schakel je regelmatig tussen verschillende aspecten van fondsenwerving. Je draagt bij aan het opstellen van een langetermijnstrategie om nieuwe donateurs aan te trekken en je onderhoudt de contacten met de huidige donateurs en fondsen. Uiteraard sta je er niet alleen voor en kun je op de ondersteuning van het communicatieteam en andere collega’s rekenen. 

Je maakt concrete plannen en stelt ambitieuze doelstellingen voor zowel de online werving van donateurs en giften als het aantrekken en betrokken houden van middle- en major donors. 
Ook schrijf je fondsaanvragen voor onze projecten, onderhoud je het contact met deze fondsen en zorg je voor nauwkeurige rapportages om deze vermogensfondsen gedurende een project op de hoogte te houden. 

Tevens oriënteer je je op andere fondsenwervingskansen zoals bijvoorbeeld nalatenschappen.

Eén van de belangrijkste onderdelen van je baan is het binden van particuliere schenkers aan onze Impact Club. Dit is een besloten club van plantaardige pioniers, bestaande uit filantropen, ondernemers en impact investeerders die bijdragen aan de missie van ProVeg met een donatie vanaf €1.000 per jaar. Als fondsenwerver zul je ongeveer de helft van je tijd stoppen in het relatiemanagement en de communicatie met zowel de leden als potentiële leden van de Impact Club. Samen met onze event manager organiseer je bovendien twee tot drie keer per jaar een evenement om de leden van de Impact club betrokken en enthousiast te houden.

Grants Programme :

  • Ensure that all grantmaking is aligned and approved by all decision makers, including CEO, funder network, and Board Members.
