What will you be responsible for?

The support engineer with Rand Simulation is responsible for ensuring the success of our customers by assisting with the troubleshooting of technical issues that arise from the installation, licensing, and use of Ansys software. The support engineer will be responsible for researching technical issues, tracking progression for all active cases, testing proposed solutions, and working one on one with customers to deliver hands-on support.

Responsibilities:

  • Staying current on Ansys software packages, licensing structures, and system requirements

  • Collaborate across the RAND Worldwide enterprise to develop and secure business
  • Formulate, execute, and update an action plan and KPIs for ongoing business
  • Use Salesforce.com in ingenious ways to document current and future activity, create proposals, process orders, and forecast sales
  • Efficiently utilize all available sales efficiency tools, professional and social media platforms to generate access, awareness, and engagement
  • Take full responsibility for continuously educating yourself, developing professionally, and creatively navigating current and future industry changes
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals

Qualifications

  • 2 years of successful, documented sales growth and/or extensive customer engagement experience
  • Solid business acumen and skill set to manage the full sales cycle
  • Ability to have business conversations at all levels from user to Owner
  • Capable of managing multiple internal and external teams, as well as external resources to ensure comprehensive solution is provided
  • Proficient in and/or adept with sales platforms and available customer related technology (MS Office suite and Teams, Revenue Grid, 6 Sense, Eloqua, Monster Connect, Salesforce, LinkedIn, AI)
  • Driven, self-motivated, goal oriented, growth & expansion mentality
  • Proactive initiative with the personal accountability to pursue vs patiently wait
  • Coachable with a willingness to learn and a desire to continually improve
  • Competitive, team-based frame of mind
  • Ability to effectively access and positively engage with Customers (via phone, live/virtual calls and meetings, e-mail, MS Teams and professional/social media platforms)
  • The continual influx and growth of new opportunities in the pipeline
  • Meeting and/or exceeding quotas
