Key Role Responsibilities: 

  • Manage marketing asset creation requests from concept to completion including digital, print, and social media initiatives.
  • Manage the compliance and legal approval of assets both internally and externally. 
  • Identify potential project risks and provide recommendations for mitigating them efficiently.
  • Support the team by managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure key milestones are met.

  • Maintain and organize project documentation, including meeting notes, schedules, reports, and all final assets.

  • Assist with post-project analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and recommend improvements for future initiatives.

This is a role that is still highly technical. You will be expected to dig into technical work with the team, and provide a deep well of experience running and scaling infrastructure. 

At a minimum, you should have production experience with the following technologies:

  • Kubernetes
  • AWS - particularly EC2, Aurora/RDS, Redshift
  • Relational Databases

The higher-level challenges you’ll face include:

  • Keep Sezzle secure, and build/maintain cutting edge tooling for detecting and remediating vulnerabilities or other security issues.
  • Step into a people leadership role with multiple teams of engineers, each led by an exceptional Engineering Manager. Grow the careers of your folks as the company expands, keep them happy and engaged.
  • Continue expanding the teams with new hires, supporting and growing them into exceptional engineers, and coaching those that struggle.
  • Scale up our data infrastructure, warehousing, and analytics tooling that’s used heavily by every unit of the business.

The full tech stack you’ll deal with includes:

  • AWS, particularly RDS/Aurora with MySQL, Networking, and EC2. ML products are a bonus.
  • Kubernetes, both self-managed (KOPS) and managed (AWS EKS)
  • Prometheus (with Thanos), Loki, Grafana, Alertmanager.
  • Golang, with our stack including Gin, Gorm, MySQL.
  • Python and SQL for the data science and data engineering aspects.
  • Async tools like Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or design patterns that solve the same problem.

You’ll also be expected to bring a strong set of fundamentals that includes software development principles, work estimation and breakdown experience, and a strong background in web development in general - including HTTP/TCP networking, and both synchronous and asynchronous architectures.

The full tech stack you’ll deal with includes:

About the Role:

Our Junior Accountant will be responsible for our day-to-day accounting function, primarily focused on ensuring the books and records of Sezzle are completely and accurately maintained while executing and maintaining a robust controls environment. This individual will work closely with colleagues both within and outside of the Finance department. Our ideal candidate is someone with 1-3 years’ experience with excellent technical and communication skills that aid in the process to quickly understand, document, and account for the Company’s evolving business processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Preparation and booking of the Company’s monthly financial close and related reporting activities, ensuring adherence to US GAAP
  • Perform bookings of required daily entries such as cash movement, shopper receivables, merchant payables and corporate expense transactions
  • Adhere to and document proper controls over the Company’s significant business processes
  • Compile financial information for external auditors 
  • Support the overall Finance function with ad hoc reporting and projects, as needed

What We Look For:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a public company corporate accounting role

Sezzle is seeking a Credit Bureau Reporting Disputes Analyst & Office Managerwho will be responsible for managing and optimizing Sezzle’s credit bureau disputes process. You will respond in a timely and compliant manner to all disputes coming through internal channels as well as e-Oscar. You will maintain adherence to all required FCRA and Metro2 guidelines.   • Investigate and respond to disputes submitted by customers through internal channels or on behalf of customers by the credit bureaus 
  • Research, develop and build process improvements for responding credit bureau disputes 
  • Investigate and respond to CFPB, Attorney General, and other state agencies complaints 
  • Lead projects designed to enhance credit reporting and disputes processes 
  • Maintain current knowledge of FCRA, Metro2, and other regulatory guidelines 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years experience in a credit bureau-related role
  • CDIA certification or the ability to obtained one within 90 days
  • Familiarity with Metro2, e-Oscar, and FCRA guidelines 
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to self-motivate with little oversight 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fintech, banking, or financial services experience 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • CDIA certification 
  • Experience with credit bureau dispute processing with Canada accounts is a plus
