The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in working on threat, vuln, fraud or compliance - ideally building or supporting cross-functional mitigation programs.
  • A background that involves creating a layered security perimeter in the context of a cloud- and container-based microservices.

Sinch ClickSend has SMS at its core and powers billions of messages worldwide but has expanded to offer a richer suite of products, providing choice and context to business communications.

 

Sinch ClickSend is a SaaS product (well, more a CPaaS) and has thousands of new customers sign up to trial its platform each month, and it’s growing year on year. We expect our customers to be able to sign up to Sinch ClickSend and get sending as easily and quickly as possible with minimal fuss, but with helpful information and advice if/when needed. We are a product led growth brand.

 

Therefore, marketing automation, user journeys, email marketing, in-app content play a vital role in assisting our customers to achieve their communications goals with Sinch ClickSend. Converting trials into paying customers, keeping existing customers informed and happy (and thus growing) and reducing churn of all customers. It’s a hugely important function of the marketing department.

 

Currently within Sinch ClickSend the ownership of marketing automation and emails is dispersed across the marketing team, it now needs to be owned by one person - and that person could be you.

 

Hence, we are looking for a Marketing Automations Specialist (MAS) to join the Sinch ClickSend Marketing Team in our Perth office.

 

The MAS will be responsible for building out and maintaining marketing journeys for new and existing customers using a range of tools including, but not limited to Intercom, Ortto, Salesforce, Revenue.IO, ChurnZero and Vitally. You will be responsible for scoping, building, testing, executing and measuring a range of campaigns across lead generation, onboarding, conversion and ongoing customer engagement, utilising a mix of channels including email, SMS and in-app messaging.

 

Sitting within the marketing team you will also work closely with Sinch ClickSend’s VP of Sales and Customer Success Manager to ensure customer lists are highly segmented and targeted, and communication is coordinated with inbound and outbound human meetings and other cadence touch-points.

 

The MAS will also work closely with the marketing team’s graphic designer and copy-writer to ensure all communication is on-brand, and with the digital advertising team to ensure activity is appropriately tracked.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for email marketing program development and execution, including segmentation, testing, and deployment, and continually evaluate these for improvements.
  • Maintain Marketing Automation integration with CRM and assist in the integration of additional platforms into the marketing automation software.
  • Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and distribute campaign performance to the marketing team.
  • Work with the marketing team to define KPIs, create reporting, analyse campaign performance. Create recommendations to improve campaigns continuously.
  • Manage marketing automation efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards.
  • Plan and perform A/B testing to define and execute enhancements to productivity, conversion rates, programs/campaign ROI, and revenue growth.
  • Support essential marketing operations initiatives in Intercom and Salesforce such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data cleansing.
  • Be the primary system owner for marketing automation tools like Ortto and Intercom.
  • Be an administrator alongside Sales for other CRM tools including Salesforce and Chilli Piper.
  • Design and implement customer lifecycle journeys across a range of platforms and projects with various objectives; increase conversion rate, decrease churn, implement lead scoring etc.
  • Migrate some campaigns from older to newer systems.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition.
  • Work closely with customer success and support teams to identify opportunities to improve customer onboarding and customer engagement activities.

 

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A very strong, demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the mechanics of marketing automation/email marketing platforms (we use Ortto and Intercom, but if you’re strong on MailChimp or Pardot et al you’ll be fine)
  • Ability to map out and present programs/journeys and then implement them
  • Experience as an Automations/Email Specialist or similar role
  • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce a bonus
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Strong independent project management skills
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision
  • Able to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a SaaS business would be beneficial
  • HTML knowledge also a bonus
  • A knowledge of AI platforms that can assist the role also a bonus
