You’ll be joining a fast-moving and diverse team of dedicated individuals who work together to safeguard StockX’s marketplace, customers, team members and inventory worldwide. You’ll be helping develop the roadmap and support the execution of operations for the Safety & Trust team at StockX. This role is on the Safety & Trust team and will work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Market Integrity, Product, Engineering, Brand Protection, Operations, Customer Support, and Information Security.

What you’ll do 

  • Identify fraudulent situations by reviewing suspicious activity reports and/or alerting systems and initiating remediation actions. 
  • Thoroughly investigate leads on possible fraud provided by both internal and external clients. 
  • Use data-driven points to identify fraudulent patterns and take preventative measures.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on fraudulent activity for supervisors and key stakeholders. 
  • Review Fraud queues promptly to ensure efficiency for orders or users needing further review. 
  • Maintain clean and detailed record keeping of instances of Fraud and losses sustained by StockX.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to identify new areas of fraudulent activity and take preventative measures.  
  • Provide feedback and assistance to additional departments in instances of possible fraud. 
  • Provide analysis to fraud prevention partners and related vendors on new trends or actions needing to be taken to prevent fraudulent activity. 
  • Facilitate regular meetings with vendors or other departments to update on current fraud trends. 
  • Review and assist in the development of suspicious activity/exception alerts to identify fraudulent or suspicious activity. 
  • Use detailed fraud detection methods to make informed decisions on StockX orders' status and users' status. 
  • Thoroughly investigate all payment disputes and provide detailed analysis of identified dispute-related trends.
  • Investigate and analyze chargeback patterns and trends to deploy fast remediation efforts
  • Review and investigate fraud and chargeback reports to help proactively identify trends and deflect possible fraud and chargebacks.
  • Review fraud and policy abuse trends in the industry and apply knowledge to proactively prevent risk.

About you

  • Proven track record in sourcing, implementing, and optimizing MHE, automation, and robotics solutions.

About the role

What you’ll do

  • Uses descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, including experimentation (A/B testing mostly), to develop actionable insights

  • Manages Product Analytics team by creating team roadmap, prioritizing project requests, assigning projects to ICs, tracking project progress, signing off on team deliverables, and carrying out project retrospectives
  • Manages, motivates, mentors, and evaluates performance of the individual contributors on the team

About you

  • Strong background in product analytics / data science.  Proven experience managing at least a small team
  • PhD level understanding of statistics (PhD degree strongly preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in experimentation (A/B testing mostly; experience with geo-randomized experiments and quasi-experimental methods a strong plus)
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau)

About the role:

About you

  • Knowledge of cloud security, including AWS
  • Knowledge of container security, including Docker or Kubernetes

  • Preparing for and leading state and local sales and use tax audits
  • Interact directly with internal business units to advise on the state and local tax implications of new business initiatives

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. sales and use tax, previous public accounting experience a plus
  • Avalara experience required, ideally with both the engine functionality and tax reporting module; Vertex (or other tax engine software) experience is a plus 
  • Practical experience working with a tax engine (e.g. researching and picking product tax codes)
  • Experience working with the tax accounting aspects of sales tax (e.g. account reconciliations and documenting uncertain tax positions)
  • A degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license preferred
  • A deep understanding of multi-state sales and use tax regulations
  • Solid reasoning and judgment skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong capabilities in VLookups and pivot tables

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage global tax functions, including all tax planning, structuring, accounting, reporting and compliance activities
  • Build relationships with team members across StockX to ensure the Tax team is effectively partnering with our various teams
  • Provide tax guidance, advice and risk management support for StockX’s growth strategy
  • Prepare or review and conclude on analysis of complex issues, including tax accounting issues, with significant impact to StockX
  • Responsible for reviewing and signing-off on all quarterly and annual tax accounting for financial and SEC reporting purposes, including balance sheet reconciliations, tax provisions, sales tax adjustments, and footnote disclosures
  • Present quarterly updates on compliance, reporting and strategic planning to the Audit Committee
  • Oversee federal, state and international income tax reporting and compliance functions including audit support 
  • Responsible for all indirect tax compliance and audits (sales tax, VAT and customs & duties), including evaluating the financial, system, and operational considerations for compliance obligations; includes close partnership with StockX’s custom’s compliance organization
  • Remain current on global tax legislative developments and related implications to provide financial, risk, and operational advice to management on any impacts to StockX
  • Partner with internal and external teams on all M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts and related tax planning
  • Implement and oversee all internal SOX controls for corporate taxes
  • Create a development program for the StockX tax team, providing opportunities for the team to expand their knowledge and expertise in key areas
  • Partner with external advisors to develop and maintain optimal global tax structures

About you

  • 15+ years of experience in global corporate tax including previous public accounting experience and leadership experience in a public company setting
  • Degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license expected
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting rules and pronouncements
  • Direct experience with compliance (e.g. reviewing returns/provisions)
  • Strong and effective communications skills, including the ability to synthesize complex tax issues and be able to communicate them clearly and succinctly to all levels
  • Industry experience expected in global ecommerce / marketplace or Internet sectors and experience with global supply chain operations a plus; public company experience a must

As the Paid Shopping Specialist, you would be an integral part of our internal paid media team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the global strategy and execution of our international Paid Shopping activities. This individual would report directly to the Senior Manager, Search & Shopping, working directly alongside a Search Specialist and dedicated teams for Social and Programmatic media. Your scope would include the conception and execution of performance paid shopping campaigns, monitoring and improving feed health, reporting on channel-level performance while integrating with cross-functional teams to drive channel growth. This individual should have a deep understanding of the Paid Shopping landscape and a proven track record of success with large and dynamic international product feeds. 

What you’ll do

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid shopping campaigns
  • Monitor and improve the delivery of a highly dynamic and large international product feed
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Search and Shopping to align strategies and goals with a comprehensive media plan
  • Work closely with the Paid Search Coordinator to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution
  • Utilize your extensive experience within Google and Microsoft to activate and manage campaigns efficiently
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing calendar, staying ahead of industry trends and opportunities
  • Analyze campaign performance data, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Monitor and adjust budgets, bids, and targeting strategies to maximize ROI
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and platform updates to drive continuous innovation
  • Assist in Paid Shopping discussions and presentations, providing strategic insights and recommendations based on campaign performance analysis

About you

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Paid Shopping
  • Proven expertise in working with extensive and dynamic international product feeds
  • Working knowledge of Paid Search and SEO and the role within the SERP
  • Experience within e-commerce 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-have 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • International experience within e-commerce

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $65,000 to $85,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
