Xe’s Global Risk and Compliance team is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our Global Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as a Senior FIU Analyst. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for assisting with ensuring Xe‘s Compliance framework complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies. In addition, you are responsible for assisting the Head of Compliance and AML Compliance Officer in management of the Compliance Assurance and Financial Crime Compliance programs, ensuring that Xe’s products and services offered are in compliance and the operations are consistent with regulatory requirements and conditions.

● Oversight of the Compliance Monitoring Program, providing assurance controls and processes are in compliance and operating effectively with current legal and regulatory conditions and aligning the business and its operations with future legal and regulatory requirements and conditions.
● Reviewing reports from the Compliance Operations team, ensuring transaction monitoring alerts are reviewed in a timely manner, SMRs and other reports or filings are submitted within the required regulatory timeframe.

● You’ll demonstrate a track record gained working within a similar role either within the FX, OTC derivatives or payments industry, or within a highly regulated financial services organisation for a minimum of 5 years.
● Solid understanding and experience in relevant ASIC regulatory guides, regulatory portals, AFSL licensing and regulatory reporting requirements.
● Must have a detailed knowledge of legal, regulatory compliance and operational risk issues.
● Possess a strong ability to articulate and communicate risk and compliance issues across all levels and verticals within the business.
● Demonstrate superior project management and time management skills necessary to produce work in accordance with professional standards, effortlessly pivot and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Getting the right balance, achieving successful commercial outcomes from regulatory requirements and change.
● Ability to assess complex activities to identify potential compliance and/or operational risks.
● Familiar with the product development lifecycle, providing regulatory guidance and conducting compliance risk assessments (desirable).
● Experience handling internal and external dispute resolution processes, including communications with AFCA (desirable).
● Have strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss detailed technical requirements with IT and product development teams.

What you’ll do
- Analyze
- Build charts dashboards, and leverage data to identify issues or measure the impact of your initiatives
- Understand the underlying problem to be solved when gathering requirements.
- Manage internal stakeholder expectations and clarify to them when things are already covered by another initiative, or if what's being requested does not align with the strategy.
- Prioritize
- Own and positively impact your assigned metric(s)
- Manage a backlog for the Technology team accordingly
- Manage the priority the of items in the scope of your squad that will be assigned to the next release
- Collaborate
- Work alongside the design team to gather insights from our users
- Refine and break down your user stories with the Technology team
- Connect with vendors and 3rd parties to clarify integration requirements
- Sign off on implemented features

- Write detailed user stories to enable asynchronous work
- Keep track of items while in development cycle and follow up if help is needed to keep them moving forward

What We're Looking for:
- You are fluent in English and have good communication skills.
- You have at least 2 years experience in B2C software. Bonus points if you have experience in Fintech.
- You have deep understanding on one of these three areas: Data, User Experience Design or Web Development.
- You are resourceful and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
- You are curious, especially about what drives people to behave in a certain way and what goes into their decision-making process.
- You have the ability to articulate the "why" behind your product decisions clearly and leverage data to get buy in from other stakeholders.
- You have shipped products to users and comprehend what makes a good product.
- You have start-up experience; we are looking for people who can wear many hats, and understand the whole product and how its pieces interact.
- You have experience with the tools of our stack, like Amplitude, Segment, Iterable, etc.
- You are inquisitive and a critical thinker.
- You're always trying new apps, you probably have a lot of them in your phone and can distinguish what a good user experience is.
- You have an understanding of how to optimize event tracking: what should be tracked, how it should be structured, and the taxonomies that should be applied.
