About the role:

As a Field Application Scientist you will be engaging with customers daily and delivering system usage trainings at customer sites, while providing experimental design, data analysis, logistical, and troubleshooting support across your region. You will be a key contact, in conjunction with in-house Technical Support, for responding to issues and maintaining relationships with customers. The primary goals of this position are to ensure rapid adoption and maximum customer success with 10x Genomics’ products.

What you will be doing:

Communicate:

  • Acting as the main point of contact between the customer and company
  • Keep customers apprised and trained on advancements in 10x technology and software
  • Coordinate and perform customer site trainings and demonstrations
  • Identify, document and communicate customer issues; complaints or concerns to management
  • Contribute to white papers and documentation with the goal of expanding support content

Connect:

  • Scientifically partner with customers as they develop their research utilizing 10x technologies
  • Collaborate in scientific discussions with customers, cultivating long term relationships
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with customers (Key, is the ability to manage expectations while exceeding the customer’s needs)
  • Gather and deliver strategic and competitive customer feedback, communicating customer use cases beyond initial product scope to Marketing and Product Development teams

Support:

  • Troubleshoot issues related to user's technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software and instruments
  • Interpret customer needs and identify the proper issue escalation pathway within 10x
  • Support field sales team at trade shows, seminars and technical symposiums (including presentations and networking with thought leaders)
  • Handle potentially stressful situations calmly and adroitly

Minimum Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics or genetics
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with NGS workflows and data analysis software and/or sorting cytometry and associated analysis software
  • Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and systematic troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills
  • Outstanding presentation and training skills
  • Ability to maintain records for customer sites and provide high level feedback to management
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • PhD. or equivalent experience preferred (e.g. BA/BS with approx.5 years of experience, MS with approx. 3 years of experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Genetics
  • Previous customer facing experience
  • Hands on proficiency with common molecular biology bench techniques; cell culture experience
  • Broad knowledge of genomics or biochemistry
  • Single cell laboratory experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team towards corporate goals

Responsibilities

  • Handle Acquia’s relationships with existing and new OEM partners
  • Support Acquia Sales, Customer Success and Support teams with information about subscriptions, entitlements, pricing, contracts and custom engagements
  • Register opportunities on behalf of Acquia Sales with OEM partners
  • Process all requests for custom pricing, working with OEM partners to calculate pricing and obtain discount approvals
  • Reporting and analysis of pipeline generation, forecast, customer churn and downsell for OEM products
  • Report on closed won deals for OEM products, and handle the invoicing process in Coupa
  • Lead weekly meetings with OEM partners to report on KPI’s and other sales metrics
  • Support internal enablement efforts led by the Product Marketing team on OEM products
  • Assist Acquia Sales and Account Management when prospects and customers want access to OEM product sandboxes to conduct proof-of-concept evaluations before purchase
  • Support the Acquia DX Alliance Partner Program for technology vendors providing complementary solutions which integrate with Acquia’s Open DXP Platform by assisting with program administration, partner management, demand gen planning, coordination of enablement and operational support

Qualifications / Experience preferred

  • 2-4 years sales or sales operations experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant partner ecosystems, business models and technology-driven digital transformation strategies
  • Experience in Partner and/or Sales/Account Management roles
  • Experience in building and handling multiple partner relationships with technology and OEM partners

You will be a key player as part of our Partner Operations team.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Develop, facilitate and execute a multi-tiered product enablement strategy for a Partner audience including follow-up and reinforcement as needed.
  • Deliver enablement via our network of partners including participation in our quarterly boot camps.  Serve as an in-house resource, provide feedback, and certify new partners for successful independent interactions with buyers
  • Partner with Product, Product Marketing and Marketing teams to understand key capabilities to highlight to our partners.
  • Project manage and/or create product related enablement assets to live in our Partner Portal
  • Design and develop creative training solutions including, but not limited to, interactive instructor-led training courses, elearning and blended learning modules, and all related materials and resources
  • Refine existing partner curriculum in alignment with evolving business priorities
  • Maintain process for product certifications to be completed by our partner audience
  • Create and refine a data driven, analytic framework to identify gaps and evaluate the success of our partners.
  • Help in the management of our Partner Portal, Salesforce and other tools used as part of our Partner Program (internal and external).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIORS

  • Bachelors or advanced degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, sales training, or partner operations, preferably for high tech organizations with the demonstrated ability to transfer skills and knowledge to a group and/or individual
  • Polished training facilitation skills and expertise.  Experience creating partner enablement assets is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of partner / channel operations and processes and techniques utilized by both digital agencies and professional services organizations.
  • Strong meeting management and group facilitation skills.  Ability to structure small and large group meetings to achieve pre-defined objectives
  • High competency in the following areas: highly collaborative, strong oral and verbal communication, ability to create polished enablement presentations and assets, attention to detail, planning, process and project management, effective decision making, results-oriented, ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate360, Learning Management Systems, and Salesforce a plus
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset that constantly seeks opportunities to enhance processes and workflows internally that will benefit our partners and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decisions, insights, and improvements.

About the role:

Acquia is seeking a Principal Salesforce Administrator to join the Enterprise Business Systems Team in the Information Technology department. This position will play a pivotal role in continuing to enhance the Salesforce experience of Acquia’s users.

As the Principal Salesforce Administrator you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and systems administrator for Salesforce
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day configurations, support, maintenance and improvement of Salesforce
  • Manage new and existing Salesforce integrations
  • Work closely with functional leaders to translate business needs into a recommended design for development
  • Implement declarative development solutions to meet business user requirements; work with development team as needed to implement code solutions
  • Log, track, prioritize, manage and document issues, bugs, enhancement and feature requests in ticketing system
  • Work closely with team members to share best practices, lessons learned, solution details, etc. to help continue growing the team’s knowledge of Salesforce

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8-13 years of experience working as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification
  • Experience supporting, designing, and developing Salesforce in an enterprise environment
  • Proven track record of understanding complex business requirements
  • Experience troubleshooting and implementing automations such as process builder and flow
  • Understanding of CPQ, products and price books
  • Experience integrating and configuring managed packages and API integrations such as Intacct, Gainsight, Conga, Mavenlink, etc.
  • Ability to support stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to create test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as new features are deployed
  • Understanding of deployment best practices, including documenting user acceptance tests/sign offs to ensure the quality of developed solutions prior to production deployment
  • Deep understanding of business processes as they relate to the Salesforce application
  • Comfortable with APEX code (our goal is to have minimal APEX used)
  • Background in consulting is a plus
