ABOUT THE ROLE

We storemultibillionfiles and multiple petabytes of data. We observe more than 11K API requests per second on average. To make that possible and to provide the best possible experience, we rely on great engineers. For us, people who own their work, from start to finish, are integral. Our engineers are part of the process from design to code, to test, to deployment and back again for further iterations. You can, and will, touch every level of the infrastructure depending on the day and what project you are working on. The ideal candidate should be able to take a complex problem and execute end to end. Mentor and set higher standards for the rest of the team and for the new hires.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
  • Build, scale, and administer a large fleet of MySQL servers spread over multiple data centers with a focus on performance, scale, and high availability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot critical performance bottlenecks for MySQL databases before it causes downtime.
  • Review and assess the impact of database schema design, topology changes prior to their implementation
  • Ensure that databases are secured, maintained, backed up, and highly available.
  • Review stress testing results and provide recommendations to development teams
  • Automate anomaly detection to surface databases with failures, IOPS, deadlocks, and other failure reasons.
  • Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administrative functions
 
You’ll stand out if you have the following: 
  • Experience in other distributed systems like Redis, Memcached, Postgres, MongoDB.
  • Experience in managing a large fleet of database servers.
  • Knowledge of HA and scalability issues with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge about cloud providers (Google Cloud and/or Azure)
 
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 4+ Years of relevant industry work experience
  • Understanding of MySQL’s (8.0+) underlying storage engines like InnoDB
  • Knowledge of Performance and scalability issues with MySQL and how to overcome them.
  • Strong experience with MySQL HA using Orchestrator/ProxySQL/Consul/Pacemaker
  • Good understanding of monitoring requirements
  • Experience in administering Linux-based systems
  • Experience with configuration management like Puppet/Ansible.
  • Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
  • Strong automation experience with at least 1 language ‘Python/Ruby/Perl/Go’ and ‘SQL’ scripting
  • Analytical skills necessary to perform troubleshooting of errors and performance issues on a large array of MySQL cluster spread over multiple data centers.
  • Self-taught and enthused to grow your skill set with new technologies as the industry continues to evolve.

About this team and role:

Join the global DOM: Core team of engineers passionate about the Web. We are the team responsible for page navigation, document loading, event handling, user interaction, and text editing in Gecko, the engine behind Firefox. You will implement standardized APIs like DOM, HTML, Events, Editor, and Clipboard. You will push the boundaries of what the Web is capable of. Your responsibilities will include writing code, tests, as well as building prototypes, solving problems, while continuously learning and growing as an engineer.

What you’ll do:

  • Improve the DOM, HTML, editing, user interaction capabilities of our Web engine, with a focus on performance, Web compatibility, and standards correctness

  • Develop and debug in a multi-language, multi-threaded and multi-process code base

DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Vice President of Commercial Partnerships will drive strategic alliances to expand Aetion's reach and amplify the impact of its real-world evidence products and regulatory consulting services. As a Corporate FX Dealer, your primary function is to retain and grow a profitable portfolio of client accounts through effective relationship management. You will need to ensure clients have access to market updates and intelligence. You will be responsible for securing market orders and obtaining regular transactions from clients, executing spot/forward payments through HiFX. In addition, once regulated you will be required to offer FX options and FX structured products as hedging tools to clients via our sister company HiFM.

The role also requires Dealers to produce quality market commentary for distribution to clients and internal stakeholders.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the CD to ensure effective implementation of desk initiatives
  • Consistently and actively calling clients and answering emails
  • Maintaining up to date records of client’s activities and requirements within company’s internal systems
  • Building relationships with customers, affiliates and other internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all customer on-boarding is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and HiFX policies and procedures
  • Ensure training provided is implemented
  • Manage retention levels at the expected and targeted position
  • Manage all client complaints in a professional manner, escalating where needed

What you'll be doing

We are typically organized into agile cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Product and Design, which allows us to develop deep expertise and rapidly deliver high value features and functionality to our next generation T3 Platform.

You’ll be part of a close knit team of Engineers responsible for building out Financial Management features and capabilities that help our customers understand the financials of their fleet including depreciation, operating costs, and fair market value. A clear financial picture empowers customers to make strategic decisions such as buying, selling, or adjusting rental volume.

Our team leverages a wide range of technologies, including Typescript, Python, React, GraphQL, Kafka, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and DataDog to create well defined API’s and user interfaces.

We'll be there to support you as you become familiar with our teams, product domains, tech stack and processes — generally how we all work together.

As a Software Engineer I you will 

  • Research, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the software solutions that improve our product offering - contribute to the product features, user experiences andcapabilities that empower our platformecosystem.
  • Take ownership for the delivery of small features and a wide variety of projects - using best of breed languages, frameworks and technologies across the full-stack.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to take ideas from concept to delivery.  Balancing the desire to ship code with the responsibility to get it right.
  • Contribute to our culture improving how we deliver as a team.  Helping us to leave things better than we find them and making it easier for us to get stuff done.

Position Overview:

This role requires someone who enjoys documenting and writing technical material in a user friendly way to make it easy for a user to understand how to use the platform with a strong understanding of each user persona, their needs, their technical expertise to design material for the user persona. This person will also be responsible for developing content that helps internal stakeholders better understand the feature -its use, its value and how customers will use this feature. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create online guides, reference docs, and tutorials for technical audiences (, Bioinformaticians, Data Scientists, API Developers, Physician, Non Technical User, SQL engineers, application developers, etc).

  • Engage directly with product managers, software engineers, and UI designers to ensure all features, enhancements, and changes are fully documented.

  • Work with release engineers and dev ops to deliver weekly product updates and documentation.

  • Work with support engineers and customer success managers to help drive customer engagement and adoption, which may include:

    • Contributing to Knowledge Base articles and Community questions.

    • Authoring and editing technical blog posts.

    • Developing training materials, implementation guides, migration guides, best practices, and FAQs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years creating technical product documentation from scratch, as well as from specs.

  • Strong technical understanding of platforms like  Snowflake, AWS, Oracle, Teradata, Redshift, SQL Server, etc); comfortable working with Data platform terminology.

  • Experience with one or both of the following:

    • Exposure to using and documenting any of the following security and governance technologies:

      • Identity and Access Management (SSO, OAuth, MFA, RBAC, SCIM, etc)

      • Networking and Private Connectivity (AWS PrivateLink, Azure Private Link, Google Cloud Private Service Connect)

      • Governance (data masking/tokenization for column-level security, row-level security, data classification and anonymization, etc)

      • Privacy-enhancing technologies like differential privacy

      • Data clean rooms

    • Expose to using and documenting any of the following data engineering and data storage technologies:

      • ETL/ELT and BI.

      • Data lakes, Apache Iceberg, cloud storage.

  • Open-source platforms and authoring/publishing tools for a "Docs-as-Code" approach (Git, RST/Sphinx, Markdown, DITA XML, etc).

  • In-depth knowledge of the content development lifecycle, including:

Required Skills & Competencies:
