Project – the aim you’ll have

Join our dedicated QA Automation team working on a high-impact project for one of our UK-based clients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on innovation and quality.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will design, develop, rewrite, and execute automated tests, working closely with other QA Automation Engineers and developers to identify testing needs and implement robust solutions using C# and Playwright. With 80% of your time dedicated to test automation, you will be able to deepen your expertise in automation and help shape the future of our testing practices.

Position – how you’ll contribute

  • Create UI Tests: Translate existing manual test scripts into automated UI tests using C# and Playwright.
  • Refactor Test Suite: Review and rewrite the current C# + Selenium test suite into the C# + Playwright framework, ensuring better performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Enhance Framework: Develop, modify, and extend the existing C# + Playwright automation framework to meet the evolving needs of the project.
  • API Testing: Create and maintain automated API tests to validate the integration and functionality of backend services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team, developers, and other stakeholders to understand testing requirements and contribute to test strategy development.
  •  Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize the testing process and improve test automation efficiency across the team.

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, deep understanding of object-oriented programming, and good programming practices.
  • Basic knowledge of the Playwright framework for test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, NUnit, and Jira for test execution, reporting, and task management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline practices, integrating test automation into the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of QA development techniques and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to work on UI testing automation.
  • A strong ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility for the quality and completeness of the testing process.
  • Demonstrates an Agile mindset, with experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English at a minimum B2 level.

Additional skills – the edge you have

  • Commercial experience with the Playwright framework will be considered an advantage.
  • A demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

Qualifications

  • B.S in engineering, or similar field is required.

  • Validated commercial experience in specification development and commercial sales, key account management, product management, or marketing experience with Direct Customer channel.  Preferred experience in the Building & Construction space.

  • Pressure Sensitive Tapes background and successful experience working with Direct Customers and  converters is required.

  • Confirmed skills and competencies in developing sales penetration, and customer growth strategies throughout the value chain.

About our Machine Learning FinCrime Team:

Our Financial Crime Data team consists of over 25 people across 4 data specialisms: Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, Machine Learning Scientists and Data Scientists. As a Lead Machine Learning Scientist, you’ll be working in a fast moving environment, building and iterating on our financial crime defensive capabilities to ensure we keep Monzo and our customers safe. 

Our financial crime team has a large impact on Monzo’s bottom line as fraud and scams are usually some of the largest cost line items in a bank's P&L. We have a major influence on the overall customer experience and it’s our duty to keep our customers safe. The work we do results in directly measurable customer or company benefit, which is incredibly satisfying.

Our Machine Learning Scientists work on a range of problems within the different financial crime areas ranging from fraud detection and prevention, transaction monitoring for different types of suspicious activity through to customer risk assessment and operational tooling.

What you’ll be working on: 

A Lead Machine Learning Scientist at Monzo is a technical Individual Contributor (IC) leadership position. As a technical Machine Learning expert, working with billions of rows of data stored on a modern cloud native data platform, we’ll be expecting you to leverage your deep experience of developing and deploying advanced Machine Learning models to: 

  • Automatically and accurately detect suspicious user behaviours while minimising impact to genuine customers and operational costs
  • Adapt quickly and appropriately to changing fraud and financial crime trends, ensuring our detection systems remain performant through time. 

The technical approaches you take to help solve these problems will be very much in your hands and we’ll strongly encourage and support experimentation and innovation. We’ll be expecting you to justify and demonstrate effectiveness along the way, making sure the approach meets our business and customer needs.

Your day-to-day:   

As a technical individual contributor, you’ll be providing technical leadership and shipping highly impactful ML-based solutions. You’ll be embedded in a cross functional product squad, working closely with product managers, data scientists, backend engineers and designers in an agile environment. You’ll also be a technical leader within the Machine Learning discipline, helping to steer technical work and drive up standards. 

This will involve:

  • Working with stakeholders across the organization to identify and scope out the most impactful opportunities to tackle Financial Crime and Fraud with Machine Learning.
  • Leading the design and development of advanced real time Machine Learning models, for example exploring how neural network, graph-based, and sequence-based architectures can drive improvements in detection of financial crime.
  • Providing technical leadership to drive up levels of technical expertise and best practice across the Machine Learning discipline, leading by example and mentoring others.
  • Working closely with our MLOps team to steer the ongoing development of tools to enable rapid iteration of models and optimisations of the full ML model lifecycle.

Our automated ETL processes serve both the broader company (in the form of clean, simplified tables of aggregated statistics and dashboards) and the Data Science team itself (cleaning and processing data for analysis and modeling purposes, ensuring reproducibility).

    We are looking for someone with experience in designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and robust Data Infra that makes data easily accessible to the Data Science team and the broader audience via different tools. As a data engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the data infrastructure, from understanding current bottlenecks and requirements to ensuring the quality and availability of data. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, platform, and front-end engineers, defining requirements and designing new data processes for both streaming and batch processing of data, as well as maintaining and improving existing ones. We are looking for someone passionate about high-quality data who understands their impact in solving real-life problems. Being proactive in identifying issues, digging deep into their source, and developing solutions, are at the heart of this role.

    SENIOR

    What You Will Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or any other technology-related field

    • Experience in both batch processing and streaming data pipelines

You co-develop the sales strategy, collaborate on selected business development initiatives and deliver on sales volumes and margin targets. You develop excellent relationships with the distribution channels and selected farmers to provide precise plant nutrition solutions for sustainable agriculture.     Sales and agronomical responsibilities

    • Develop and propose sales- and development strategies, refine after alignment with the Marketing and Sales Director Europe and implement.
    • Gather deep knowledge of the market, developments in the value chain and competitor movements.
    • Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators to grow sales and acquire new customers.
    • Identify opportunities and reinforce the value proposition of Tessenderlo Kerley’s crop nutrition solutions.
    • Propose distributor strategies, implement agreements and work closely with selected distributors to find win/win solutions on volumes and margins.
    • Propose and implement marketing and promotional activities to stimulate sales.
    • Accountable for administrative sales and technical tasks, for capturing data and responsible for demand forecasting and advice on demand planning.
    • Develop, maintain, update and actively utilize a network of technical & sales contacts to promote the technical and agronomical benefits of the solutions as to develop sales.

    • Prepare an annual sales and marketing budget and submit periodic reports as required by the hierarchical managers.

    • Engage actively in relevant industry organizations, cross-functional associations and seminars/conventions/events that provide educational, networking and lead generation opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Your profile

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Agronomy/Agriculture/Agricultural engineering (or equal by experience).
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years commercial experience or background in agriculture (experience in fertilizers or/and crop nutrition is a plus).
    • Comprehensive knowlegde of agricultural practice and main crops in the area (specific expertise in fertilizers management is a plus).
    • Knowledge of IT software: Microsoft 365 and social media channels (LinkedIn, …).
    • Required language: Dutch, English. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
