About Wayfair:

This virtual role will be responsible for helping customers create and envision a home they would love and recommend products that meet their individual budget, style and space.

What You’ll Do:

  • Achieve Sales and Design Goals: Conduct virtual design consultations to meet sales, design, and productivity targets in alignment with Wayfair’s Sales KPIs
  • Use Multiple Tools: Navigate multiple software applications and tools to provide recommendations based on customers' budget, style, and space
  • Create Designs: Develop designs using tools for moodboards, 2D floor plans, product lists, and style inspiration
  • Manage CRM: Track and manage customer interactions using Salesforce CRM.

  • Stay Updated: Keep informed about design trends and marketplace updates to assist customers with product features, style coordination, and sample requests.

What You’ll Need (Required):

  • Remote Technology Proficiency: Experience using technology to drive business results, including virtual communication and video conferencing
  • Design and Sales Experience: 2 years of sales experience required with a track record of meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Education: A degree, background or certification in interior design
  • Customer Service & Sales: Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets
  • Design Knowledge: Understanding of basic design principles, including spatial planning, fabric selection, interior design styles, and trends

The position

Design is at the forefront of everything we do. As a Product Design Manager you will have the chance to help build, coach, and mentor a quickly growing and highly skilled group of designers. The base salary range for this full-time position is $75,300 USD to $135,550 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

Job Description

In this volunteer position you will be asked to create landscapes and building interiors for The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order (LoA:SO), based off concepts and layouts, in the Unreal Engine. We are still building a long list of assets; we expect our Level Designers to be resourceful with the assets they use. We also expect you to use various Houdini Tools that we've built, so Houdini is recommended, but not required. Blueprint Scripting and Quixel Megascans experience is also recommended.

Communication is key to a smooth and efficient pipeline. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other team-members. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We are an English-speaking team, so English fluency is a must. All of this is especially important for Level Designers as we expect them to communicate with 3D Artists letting them know assets that are still needed.

If you are comfortable with teaching, you may be called upon to aid the more junior members of the team in any relevant area.

Other duties include following team policies (given through team orientation as upon acceptance to the team) as well as attending meetings through Slack (our instant message program that we use to communicate).

    • We consider diverse backgrounds - you may be a UX designer with a knack for language, or a Communications/Linguistics major with a knack for design thinking, or a game designer with experience on dialogue systems, etc. 
    • Contact center and/or customer service experience a plus
    • Design team management experience or strong interest to gain design management experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
