Overview

In this role as a Software Development Engineer II - Full stack or BE, you will be a highly contributing member of a core engineering team working to build the LivePerson Voice offering expertly integrating it into the existing LivePerson offering and different contact center solutions. In this role, you will be exposed to new technologies and architectures, will work with Principal engineers and architects to design and execute new solutions. You must be a team player, motivated, ambitious and eager to grow through build and successful delivery of industry-shifting products. 

You will:

  • Learn new technologies and architectures, including work with LivePerson’s award winning Voice AI solution, voice based telephony, and new product development. 
  • Work with Product Management and leadership to bring your engineering experience to the table and ideate new features and functionality
  • Help to create reliable, scalable, high performance software solutions deployed in a public cloud environment using the latest software, automations and testing tools available.
  • Work on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making software achieve its operational goals.
  • Develop Java based backend services

You have

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • 4+  Experience with programming languages: Java
  • 3+ years of experience in development of Microservices, RESTful API, backend systems and successful production software systems
  • Strong Object Oriented design and implementation experience, strong knowledge of web protocols, and knowledge of distributed systems architectures.
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
  • Experience with one of the following: Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis
  • Experience in databases technologies like MySQL, Postgres, Firestore
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advocating and executing on automated testing strategies in all developed code and helping to ensure code quality and consistency for your team. 
  • Experience working on large scale deployments and performance tuning
  • Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Good to have Development experience with Unix, Docker, and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP/GKE
  • Good to have 2+ years of experience in building UI using web frameworks like Vue, Angular or other JavaScript

In this role as QA II you will be a highly contributing member of a core engineering team working to build the LivePerson products offering from the ground up and expertly integrating it into the existing LivePerson offering. We are looking for a QA to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The responsibilities include understanding system requirements, designing and implementing tests and in some cases debugging and defining corrective actions. This also includes creating a test framework and/or integrating with other test frameworks. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

 

You will: 

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Create System, Resiliency and Performance verification test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, implement develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

 

You have:

  • 5+ Years of industry experience
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Must have Programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Relational or non relational databases experience, including MySQL and Cassandra.
  • Self-starter, with ability to perform QA Duties with minimal supervision.
  • Experience testing REST based API’s
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience  inAutomation Framework (Cypress, PlayWright, PyTest)
  • Experience is QA automation tools, frameworks, and libraries
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and libraries (TestNG)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance, resiliency and/or security testing is a plus
  • Experience working with Chaos Monkey, JMeter is a plus
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and experience working with Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Strong preference to candidates with experience testing integration of telephony, CRM, or CTI applications
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent Analytical Skills with detailed understanding of SDLC especially with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch is huge plus
  • Understands process and sees value in automation and efficiency
  • Strong problem solving experience being able to come up with solutions including collaborating with 3rd party engineering teams.

 

 

Benefits: 

The salary range for this role will be between $86000 to $105,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a blend of skills of software engineering and operations. A person who truly believes and lives by DevOps principles and values. The roles includes working within the SRE team but interacting with all feature and platform teams to deliver state of the art solutions that ensures availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of our service and applications. What will you do

  • As part of the SRE team you will be participating in design and implementing parts of our engineering platform that enables scaling, metrics and observability, ensures and improves reliability.

  • Guide and mentor other people on the team and help them grow their skills and knowledge
  • Evangelise DevOps and SRE culture and lead the innovation across engineering feature teams
  • Become part of a PagerDuty based on-call rotation

Skills & Experience

  • Comfortable and happy to code in Python and Java. Experience writing commercial application code in Java.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Computer Engineering fundamentals and first principles
  • Deep understanding of scaling solutions both on infrastructure level ( caching layers, database replicas, sharding, partitioning, etc ) and architectural level (denormalisation, CQRS-ES, Federation, etc )
  • Experience building and working with and monitoring microservice architectures in large distributed cloud environments (ideally AWS).
  • Experience with Observability tooling – having proficiency using tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, APM, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, Overops, or similar
  • The ability to guide and mentor other members within the team and improve the way we collaborate, learn, and share ideas
  • Documentation and internal team members alignment; therefore strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Excellent collaboration skills to be able to work closely with product engineers and product owners to understand their context and co-design appropriate solutions which balance feature velocity with site reliability
  • Version control and CI/CD – Jenkins, git, bitbucket, GitLab, liquibase
  • Experience in using SQL / NoSQL data stores – RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Solr

  • Proven experience with Drupal 8, 9, or higher development and ecosystem components (Git, Composer, TWIG, theming, Site Building and Custom Module development).
  • Ability to take initiative as an independent sole full stack developer.
  • Precise communication and ability to articulate current and future needs.
  • Experience working with teams of developers, UX design professionals, content strategists, guiding customers, and being flexible and open to feedback.
  • Ability to code and debug in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.

Overview

LivePerson Tenfold is a state-of-the-art, born-in-the-cloud SaaS offering. Our Cloud platform is a multi-tenanted solution hosted on GCP using a modern technology stack. You will be working directly with the customer facing application. As a Software Developer you will build components of the LivePerson Tenfold product with a focus on stability and innovation. You will be adding new features, creating new APIs, and working to delight our customers.

You Will

  • Architect, Design and implement business software and underlying APIs
  • Work with Product Management to create delightful user experiences
  • Create platform-independent code that can be run on multi-browser, multi-OS environments

What You'll Do:

  • Architect, build, evolve, and maintain the foundational frontend platform used by Level’s customers and internal teams
  • Partner closely with cross functional counterparts (product, design, data etc.) to set and execute towards the vision for the team
  • Build high quality applications to help launch product features and delight users
  • Inform API design and implementation through knowledge of web best practices
  • Provide hands-on leadership on multiple fronts (architecture/design, code reviews, quality assurance and incident management) to other engineers
  • Establish and drive adoption of design and coding best practices within the team
  • Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems to power complex web applications
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experienced frontend engineer who can not only architect and code solutions, but also help define a vision, and lead the team to deliver on that vision
  • Expertise and interest in developing with React
  • Owned the technical roadmap for large business areas
  • Experience working with complex APIs and data models
  • Experience building and using component libraries to develop customer-facing features in collaboration with product and design teams
  • Experience working with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Enjoy mentoring other engineers in their technical careers to help them grow

This position has a minimum base salary of $170,000 and a midpoint base salary of $185,000. The base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards.

About the Laravel PHP Developer position

We are looking for an experienced Laravel PHP Developer who will write quality code and deliver results within reasonable time terms. You will work as a part of a full-stack project team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

You should be able to adhere to high standards of PHP coding and work in a timely and scalable way. We value good team players and those oriented at finding optimal ways to solving problems.

Laravel PHP Developer responsibilities are:

  • Building web applications using the Laravel framework (5.5-6.x), particularly PHP-based applications using Composer-based frameworks

  • Produce “clean” and well-structured code, with detailed specifications

  • Collaborate with the team in all phases of the development lifecycle

  • Managing source code using git

  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

  • Design and implement new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

  • Stay informed about industry best practices

Laravel PHP Developer requirements are:

  • 3+ years' experience of working on a PHP Developer position

  • Expertise with PHP 7.x

  • Solid experience with of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and so on

  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services

  • Knowledgeable about Composer, npm, and package management procedures

  • Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs

  • Comfortable with the concepts and creation of automated tests (TDD, integration testing, etc.

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area
