Your role will be pivotal in helping us achieve our mission by developing, shaping, and iterating our customer facing iOS applications.

What does the job involve?

  • Lead and engage a strong iOS development team to push our mobile platform forward to the next level.
  • Support on improving our modularised/frameworks between our internal iOS development projects.
  • Understand and improve our CI/CD pipelines from development through to release.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code and beautiful products.
  • Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable SwiftUI, Swift and Objective-C code.
  • Ensure and strive for the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
  • Help build improved collaboration between our iOS and Android development teams.
  • Work collaboratively alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out with the aim of protecting customers and improving customer experience.
  • Supporting and enabling the business to achieve its regulatory requirements, including consumer duty.

Competence, Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong commercial experience in native mobile development
  • Experience in developing consumer facing, high-performance iOS applications using SwiftUI, Swift and Objective-C
  • Strong knowledge of iOS SDK and all of its components
  • Understanding of design patterns & SOLID principles
  • Strong knowledge with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Knowledge of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Knowledge of Kotlin
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Understanding of iOS design principles and interface guidelines
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work on-call outside of normal business hours including some weekend hours and able to adjust your work schedule accordingly.  
  • 2+ years’ professional experience in technical support, preferably in a software or technology-related industry.
  • Prefer to have industry knowledge of PTC products and their integration with customer systems and preferably 3+ years of experience.
  • Sound knowledge and hands-on exposure to NetSuite and/or Zendesk strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to the implementation, support, consulting, or development in enterprise business applications including XML, Web Services, HTML, SQL, Java, and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of experience Coding, testing and/or debugging applications programs.
  • Experience supporting mobile applications interfacing with SaaS applications, including experience with iOS, Android, and Windows mobile.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Basic diagnostic ability, tuning, and/or changing complex applications to optimize the product to perform to customer expectations.
  • Exposure to enterprise application suites (networks, database configuration, server configuration, Web Server optimization, load balancing hardware).
  • Ability to develop a coherent plan of action that meets stakeholders needs to resolve a given situation as quickly as possible.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Prior customer facing experience, preferably in a call center setting.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders if needed.
  • Must have ability to work with time-sensitive deadlines, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet the project and corporate goals.
  • Must possess good organizational skills, be able to work independently with focus and discipline to achieve the customer and company goals.

The base salary for this position ranges between $105,000 to $165,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. About the position

You'll be joining 250 engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA. We're organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific product areas. Regardless of the specific team you will be joining, you will be working on building features, tools, APIs and integrations for one of our products.

We use Jetpack Compose for the UI together with a share business logic in Kotlin Multiplatform (which is also used by the iOS app). Mobile developers in our teams work in both Android and iOS.

Given the team you will be working closely with, we are looking for someone who can work remotely within UTC to UTC+4 timezones.

  • Significant experience as an iOS developer, which includes building, releasing and maintaining a complicated software project
  • Solid knowledge and experience in Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit

The base salary range for this full-time position is $51,850 USD to $137,150 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
