Qualifications

Vous avez la capacité à travailler en équipe et à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément. Votre esprit analytique et capacité à résoudre des problèmes complexes sont de réels atouts.

Vous êtes diplômé d'un Bac +5, ingénieur informatique ou master avec spécialisation en informatique. Votre Expérience de 3 à 5 ans dans un rôle similaire. The Basics (Hybrid Role, 3 days in office):

As a Senior Software Engineer at Tanium, you will build and maintain best-of-breed products as part of a nimble development team. Tanium focuses on a customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning. When new products ideas are identified, our software engineers design, develop, test, and deploy the products from the ground up, while iterating with product management and customers for feedback and input. 

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain Tanium's products alongside an agile development team 
  • Design, develop and test new product ideas from the ground up while working with product management for feedback and input 
  • Work on small teams that tackle big challenges in common components like a common data service tasked with unifying and consolidating endpoint data across the entire ecosystem, handling time series data that drive dash boarding and reporting, and exposing data externally through GraphQL enabling partners (like Salesforce) to easily integrate. 
  • Delivering higher level services enabled by our core services that directly enable our products. These services focus on everything from security to operations to auditing. 

We’re looking for someone with:

Education  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • CS Degree preferred 

Experience

    • 5+ years industry experience, 7+ preferred
    • Experience designing and building high-impact, high-performance, scalable, observable, and maintainable backend services and APIs
    • Knowledge of at least one of Golang (preferred), Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rust, or Java
    • Experience with HTTP API design and development
    • Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like git and Jenkins
    • Experience with multiple cloud technologies (i.e. AWS and Azure)

The Security Research team produces investigative reports that drive a reduction in operational security risk. Exploration techniques focus on problems broadly, measuring industry trends and product insecurity across ServiceNow’s cloud environment. Role:

As a Product Security Research Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team that performs software security auditing and research. This will require experience with project scoping and management for targeted application security review. Coordinating work will require a deep dive of knowledge of application security concepts including secure code review, debugging, dynamic web application analysis and threat modeling.
 

What you get to do in this role:

  • Lead a team of experienced application security professionals focused on the security of ServiceNow’s platform of platforms and general software security research (including non-proprietary Common of the shelf software (COTS) and open-source software)
  • Assist with development/curation of social media content created by the Security Research team

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience leading a software security team with an emphasis on scoping and overseeing delivery of application security research and/or software reviews. Prior experience in application security consulting management preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with an emphasis on application remediation processes
  • Experience developing software fault injection or fuzzing solutions recommended
  • Experience with Threat modeling and threat modeling tools recommended
  • Ability to deliver technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to both non-technical business users as well as technical stakeholders

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with at least 4 years working on AI/ML applications.
    • Proven experience in building AI-powered enterprise search platforms, with a deep understanding of data and context indexing for optimized search relevance.

    About the role

    We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Datalake team within the Query Engine organization. In this role, you will focus on enhancing our query engine with a particular emphasis on the Iceberg table format and efficient scans of various file formats. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the big data ecosystem.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Designing and implementing features for Dremio’s query engine with a focus on the Iceberg table format
    • Optimizing file scan operations for various file formats, including Parquet, Avro and others
    • Collaborating with members of the query planning and query execution teams to ensure seamless integration of features across the code stack
    • Working with and contributing to open-source projects like Apache Iceberg, Parquet and Arrow
    • Maintaining and enhancing compliance with the Iceberg table format specification
    • Conducting performance tuning and benchmarking to enhance query execution speed
    • Understanding and reasoning about concurrency and parallelization to deliver scalability and performance in a multithreaded and distributed environment
    • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers

    What we’re looking for

    • B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or in a related technical field
    • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on database systems, query execution or related fields
    • Strong programming skills in an object oriented language such as Java or C++
    • Understanding of database internals, query planning, distributed systems, concurrency control, data replication, and storage systems
    • Familiarity with cloud object stores, such as AWS S3, ADLS or GCS.
    • Experience with Apache Iceberg, Parquet, AVRO and/or Delta
    • Interested and motivated to be part of a fast-moving startup with a fun and accomplished team
    • Desire to learn: You can stand your ground as well as be mentored by your teammates

    • Experience working with and contributing to open source projects

    In this role, you will: 

    • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of high-quality core features for the MarkLogic database, including query, security, scalability, reliability, and performance efficiency.  
    • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, and Development teams to define product vision and ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.  
    • Provide technical guidance to developers, mentor junior members, and evangelize best practices in technology and tools.  
    • Design and implement proof-of-concept projects for the MarkLogic Database and Server Product.
    • Lead technical discussions ensuring project engagements are collaborative and effective.

    Your background: 

    • Exceptional problem-solving skills  
    • Advanced C++ coding skills (Java is a plus)  
    • 8+ years of hands-on experience in database internals or building core components for data processing systems  
    • 6+ years of experience in distributed and multi-threaded systems  
    • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems (Windows is a plus)  
    • Working knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle  
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)  
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 

    Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have: 

    • Experience with high-performance distributed systems, fault-tolerant software architecture, and performance optimization  
    • Expertise in NoSQL databases, including query engines, indexes, and compression  
    • Experience with security technologies such as SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, and SSL
