What you’ll do:

Be involved in event planning:

  • Build & test programs in our marketing automation platform Marketo

  • Order swag, create event materials, and manage collateral shipping requests 
  • Data acquisition - contact sourcing with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)

  • Managing email follow-up & meeting maker incentives 
  • Contact list import to database via Excel data entry 
  • Tracking results and ROI measurement in Salesforce & PowerBI 

Possible Special Projects: 

  • Devise social media strategy for key industries 
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on new public-facing assets for Canada 
  • Build library of internal bilingual assets for Sales & SDRs (email templates, call scripts, battlecards)

The Basics: 

Under the direction of South Asia’s Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern will assist in orchestrating integrated marketing programs in ASEAN and ANZ regions (english speaking countries).

They will contribute to the overall buyer’s/sales experience and business goals while ensuring all content leveraged by the sales and partner teams is aligned to our core message and positioning. This involves planning and execution in partnership with Tanium Corporate Marketing teams and local sales/partner teams. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Assist the Marketing team with events and webinars  
  • Work with internal teams or external agency on logistics 
  • Uploading leads in to internal systems like Salesforce, Marketo 
  • Creating communications such as invites, follow up emails, social media posts 
  • Support ABM programs with various execution tactics such as  
  • Help the team with research into the accounts 
  • Helping build out account stakeholders and validation through LinkedIn and build contact for accounts lists

The Events Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the Corporate Events Team logistically in the execution of our webinars, 3rd party events, and annual user conference, Converge.

What you'll do:

Webinars:

Support the team in Webinar program planning, management, and production.

  • Create, maintain, and produce webinars
    • Build webinar event in Swoogo (event platform)
    • Organize registration, promotions, and follow up for each webinar
    • Assist in writing/proofreading copy for webinar titles, promotions, social posts, etc.
    • Assist with speaker coordination including scheduling, communication, deliverables, and slide presentations
    • Review presentation material and provide feedback
    • Coordinate and schedule Zoom Webinar kick-off meetings, prep sessions, and run-throughs

ABOUT THE CRA

The Center for a Reimagined Africa (CRA) manages most public sector programs under the African Leadership University. Our first initiative/program is an innovative Public Sector Fellowship aimed at using best practices in product management and digital technology to accelerate product execution in the African public sector. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic marketing intern to join our team to implement creative ideas to build brand awareness. The successful candidate should have knowledge of social media marketing, story telling, communications and be a good graphic designer.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a CRA Marketing intern, you will be responsible for developing content to create and build awareness about CRA programs. Your day to day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) engaging with our social media community, building social media campaigns, and developing marketing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write articles related to the program or the participants.
  • Design and present new social media campaign ideas.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with planning and hosting events.
  • Support the team in daily administrative tasks.

Note: You may be required to perform other related duties that are not highlighted in this document.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be a guru in writing and have
    excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A recent graduate or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Familiarity with marketing and social media platforms e.g, Linkedin and Instagram.
  • Passionate about marketing.
  • Good graphic design skills (and some video editing skills).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management and project skills.
  • Ability to multitask.

This internship will help you develop and enhance your marketing and communications skills— you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.

Location:
This is a Full time Remote role. You will be required to work 40 hours per week.
