Regional Marketing Manager (Japan) 

The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will be responsible for planning, designing and executing marketing activities for Japan.

The ideal RMM candidate should have strong technical knowledge in the area of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Single Cell Genomics, Spatial Biology and have demonstrated experience localizing marketing programs for related markets. The RMM will interact cross functionally with members from the regional commercial sales and global marketing teams and will be the central point of contact for territorial market planning, implementation, new product launch and regional market development. Key skill sets include regional marketing, program localization, sales enablement, lead generation/nurture and tactical marketing.

What you will be doing:

  • Regionalization and localization of core marketing programs in Japan
  • Effectively translate the global strategic plan in specific core markets into a regionalized tactical plan that meets or exceeds district business objectives and deploy programs and tools to support district sales teams and/or distributors
  • Select appropriate program tactics for the district and assigned segment, govern all outbound aspects of new product launches, and report success of programs to the regional sales & global marketing teams
  • Collaborate with Regional Marketing Events Manager and Regional Digital Marketing Manager to define events and digital strategy for lead generation and nurture
  • Responsible for pipeline goal achievement across all territories within the district
  • Knowledge of key accounts, KOLs and centers of excellence in assigned area
  • Share program resources across district, and identify potential reuse of global programs across territories
  • Own content reuse and localization process requirements, including execution of the localization process
  • Alignment of regional marketing program to company messaging themes and local sales in each region
  • Educate Global Marketing on local regulatory and compliance requirements for assigned territory
  • Develop sales tools and training materials that support regional sales teams achieve goals
  • Regional market intelligence to provide insight to global marketing and product marketing
  • Drive demand & grow the marketing funnel in close collaboration with regional sales teams and distributors
  • Establish local regional operational processes and systems
  • Collaborate for all CRM related aspects of sales & marketing integration
  • Improve the size and quality of marketing leads in salesforce CRM database for assigned territory or segment
  • Measure and evaluate impacts of owned marketing programs and track assigned spend
  • Works closely with the APAC and Global Marcom team to develop program metrics & effective tactics
  • Responsible for defining channel training requirements linked to program execution
  • Serve as single point of contact between the regional sales channels and the global marketing team for assigned district or segment 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors’ degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field 
  • Extensive knowledge of Next Gen Sequencing markets, products & marketing channels in Japan
  • Multi-year experience in the Life Science industry, preferably in a field marketing environment
  • Key competencies in marketing required: customer segmentation (i.e., needs assessments, profiles, personas, buying journeys), marketing program development and execution, program evaluation (metric framework)
  • Knowledge of sales pipeline and how to positively impact funnel conversion rates
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner
  • An independent self-starter who operates with a high degree of autonomy, able to pivot quickly; adaptive, can effectively operate/deal with ambiguity
  • Highly organized individual who can meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment and able to collaborate across multiple disciplines
  • Excellent Japanese & English communication skills (written / oral / presentation)
  • Frequent travel required, expected to be at least 60% of the time

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or PhD with multi year experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:  
 
STRATEGY  
  • Develop regional field marketing plan for North America; focused around live & virtual events and experiences that deliver against business/marketing priorities, including brand awareness, demand generation and thought leadership.
  • Partner with sales leadership on overall needs, strategy, and focus areas
  • Develop field programs to engage targeted segments of prospects and customers and drive results 
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Product, Sales, Marketing and Regional teams to align on strategy, plan, investments, and performance metrics
  • Work with sales and SDR partners to develop and execute best-in-class field activities to drive results
EXECUTION  
  • Execution of integrated marketing programs to support regional sales initiatives across multiple sales segments 
  • Own and run all elements of local field activities that support pipeline, including promotion, event logistics, field enablement, and follow-up, eg local lunches & dinners, sporting events, virtual roundtables, direct mail and more 
  • Develop a strong relationship with sales partners and create a consistent feedback loop to optimize programming 
REPORTING  
  • Regularly track and provide data and insights on field activity performance to marketing and sales leadership  
  • Set targets and goals, define measurement framework, deliver reporting/ROI analysis against event investments  
  • Consistently make recommendations and optimizations to improve results based on performance data 
  • Main business KPIs will be program efficiency and effectiveness in terms of: responses & engagement, contribution to pipeline, acceleration of pipeline, and revenue growth  
Skills & Qualifications:  
  • BA/BS in marketing, business, economics or equivalent quantitative discipline 
  • 7+ years of marketing experience in B2B SaaS company, 3+ years of field or event marketing experience

  • Proven track record of creating and executing field marketing campaigns using tactics that include in-person and virtual events, webinars, email, digital advertising, direct mail and more

The base pay range for this position is $110,000-$125,000.     About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Senior Partner Marketing Manager to establish our Partner Marketing Centre of Excellence and lead Cloudflare’s partner strategy and execution across EMEA. This role will be responsible for growing partner revenue, building a partner community, and integrating partner marketing into the broader regional strategic growth initiatives.

    This role will report directly to the Senior Director of EMEA Marketing and work closely with our EMEA Marketing team, Regional Field Marketing Managers, Sales Organisation, and Channel Partners, in addition to the Global Partner Marketing team.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    1. Develop and implement the overall Channel Marketing Strategy for EMEA, focusing on building a partner-sourced pipeline, partner thought leadership, community engagement, and increasing channel revenue.
    2. Develop and implement strategic partner engagement through targeted to-partner marketing activities.
    3. Manage the Channel MDF allocation and approval  for EMEA, ensuring alignment with Sales and Channel Strategy, overseeing the entire partner submission process, and reviewing the ROI of MDF usage.
    4. Lead integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimisation, working with cross-functional teams across EMEA and the US. This includes demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, online marketing, and partner marketing initiatives.
    5. Build joint marketing programs with Global SIs and strategic technology partners with a goal of penetrating into large enterprise accounts
    6. Collaborate with GSI Partner Marketing to build joint value propositions with partner, Tech Alliances  and GSIs
    7. Implement data-driven, customer-centric campaigns tailored to the EMEA market, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, priorities, and messaging.

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • Demonstrable regional marketing experience supporting field sales organisations and channel partners (10+ years, cybersecurity experience a huge plus).
    • Experience working with channel partners in a marketing or programme management capacity.
    • Familiarity with different types of partners and routes to market.
    • Strong project management, organisational, and prioritisation skills with a sharp eye for detail.
    • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with team members and partners remotely.
    • Results-oriented with experience using both qualitative and quantitative metrics focused on revenue, conversion, sales, and other marketing targets.

    We are looking for a Manager of Retention Marketing to join our mission-driven team. As an integral part of a Marketing department, you will join forces with the Assoc. Director of Retention and Loyalty (to whom you will also report) in our continued effort to inspire people to eat more plants! 

    We are looking for candidates who have a knack for turning emails, push notifications, SMS and in-app messages into captivating customer experiences. You are passionate about the customer journey and know how to create campaigns that keep customers craving more of our plant-based products. This position will play an important role in building lasting connections with our customers through timely, relevant, and targeted campaigns that help shape personalized experiences across our diverse customer base.

    As the Manager of Retention Marketing you will be focused on developing and executing retention strategies across email, push, SMS, and in-app messages. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build an engaging customer journey using a fail or learn mentality to fine-tune strategies and amplify campaign effectiveness.

    • Lead end-to-end development and execution of recurring omnichannel campaigns to drive retention and increase LTV, ensuring campaigns are executed flawlessly and that milestones are met on time.
    • Understand and own the data and events that trigger our programs, building in checks and automating processes to streamline and work more efficiently.
    • Champion a culture of customer-centricity within the organization, promoting a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences across the customer lifecycle.

    Main Ingredients for the Role 

    • 6+ years B2C, DTC industry experience with a focus on campaign management.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Demonstrated record of executing large-scale, complex, B2C email/sms/push/in-app campaigns.
    • Ability to translate strategy and vision into capability requirements for product/tech teams.
    • Experience developing actionable creative briefs and provided constructive feedback on creative work.
    • Braze experience and comfortability building campaigns utilizing html and liquid logic.
    • Experience designing and implementing A/B, holdout, and multivariate tests.
    • Comfortability using Google Analytics, Business Intelligence Tools, SQL.
    • Deep understanding of how to cross-functionally coordinate in a growing marketing department.

    Your role within the team

    Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, the Omnichannel Shopper Marketing Manager will develop and execute the strategy and plans that will deliver compelling, seamless and rich experiences at POS (both online and instore) across the fast-growing retail channels for Zesty Paws and Solid Gold brands. We’ll rely on your understanding of retailer dynamics, onsite retail media and in-store activation to create, sell, and execute an annual plan, prioritizing and optimizing investment across all shopper touchpoints. You will collaborate with external stakeholders across our key retail partners and agencies, along with internal partners in Sales, Shopper Market Insights (CMI), Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content Marketing   and Analytics.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Customer Management:

    • Develop and implement consumer-focused shopper marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
    • Lead the development and execution of commercial business plans in collaboration with sales that mutually deliver against customer and sales/marketing objectives.
    • Be the expert of omnichannel marketing including retailer onsite media, digital strategy, creative digital assets development of high-converting PDPs and score card monitoring to increase CTAs on retail.com sites.
    • Activation along with in-store opportunities to connect with shoppers across the shopper journey. Provide best-in-class omni experience regardless of where or how the shopper shops.
    • Lead instore communication and displays from creative ideation to launch, incorporating shopper insights to drive engagement at POS.

    Velocity & Engagement:

    • Develop purpose-driven, integrated shopper plans; grounded in insights and customer growth opportunities.
    • Drive alignment with Sales Leads, Brand Teams, and our Retailers to ensure successful implementation of our strategy and commercial plans.
    • Leads the management of agencies, printers and vendors including briefing, display development and instore communication assets.

    Budget Management

    • Responsible for managing the Customer Marketing budget, allocating and tracking investments and leading post campaign analysis to determine overall effectiveness.
    • Refine budget across physical and digital conversion levers based on key learnings and insights.

    Collaboration and Leadership:

    • Partner with internal teams, including product development, sales, sales operations, customer service, operations and procurement to ensure projects are completed on time, on schedule and on budget.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including agencies, media outlets, and vendors.

     

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or another related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in traditional CPG Omni/Shopper marketing role.
    • Established agency and retailer media exposure / experience.
    • Robust shopper, digital and consumer insights experience.
    • Proven experience managing vendor/customer relationships.
    • Experience in Sales & Marketing, leading marketing and/or shopper communication.
    • Experience in display /merchandiser/fixture development.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications specifically within Excel and Powerpoint
    • Assimilating and interpreting data from multiple data sources into concise, action-oriented recommendations
    • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
    • Intermediate to advanced analytics, digital/e-commerce and omni-commerce knowledge.
    • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
    • Financial acumen related to managing a budget, ROI analysis and budget optimization.
    • Deep understanding of US Retailers and their go-to-market strategies.

    This position will be hybrid in Orlando, FL or remote with up to 15% travel.
