The role

Upstream is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team in Athens, Greece.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of a very competent team responsible for monitoring the entire Upstream infrastructure (hardware, software, applications, etc.) that is utilized for the execution of the company’s revenue-generating projects while ensuring total Production stability without any problems on a 24h/7 basis (3-shifts on rotation). You will be responsible for quickly detecting, resolving, and/or escalating any issues that affect the normal operation of our Production Infrastructure. You will provide support to internal users, by executing operational tasks, producing reports, and troubleshooting, as well as external users, by handling customer requests. Finally, you will be part of the ongoing process of automating tasks and procedures which will improve how we work to keep up with all the new and cutting-edge technologies and rising needs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Continuously monitor Upstream's infrastructure (hardware, software, applications, etc.) following standard procedures and utilizing all available tools.
  • Report, identify, and investigate possible issues or problems with swift and accurate response on any errors reported by our systems.
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of all incidents to the relevant second level support teams.
  • Ensure proper recording and closure of all incidents.
  • Prepare accurate and timely standard reports and ensure the quality of the outcome.
  • Complete all operational tasks and ad-hoc requests in a timely manner, ensuring the quality of the results.
  • Provide technical support by properly handling and resolving customer requests.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation and procedures. Formulate new ideas to improve procedures. Utilize scripting skills in Python, bash or other programming language in order to automate day-to-day tasks.

The skills we require:

  • University degree in Engineering / Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Very good communication skills
  • Very good knowledge in oral and written English
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, utilities and scripting
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience in coding/ scripting and helpdesk support is a plus
  • Familiarity with ticketing system (ex. Jira) is a plus

  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular, NgRx, React, CSS3, HTML and Node
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Exposure to caching patterns and technologies is a plus(Redis, Couchbase, etc.)
  • Exposure to Document Databases is preferred
  • Experience with TDD and familiarity with Unit testing frameworks is preferred

Operating within a hyper-growth environment, you will be a key player in driving growth across the funnel. You will report to the Programmatic Media Manager. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to expand on their existing programmatic experience and take on a challenge in-house. As a Programmatic Executive Executive you will

  • Create, actively manage, and optimise programmatic campaigns across display, video, mobile, addressable TV, and audio.
  • Assist in budget management and optimisations across multiple platforms to continually increase campaign efficiencies.
  • Can take initiative, identify problems, alert the relevant individuals, and resolve them.
  • Ensure campaigns are in line with best practises and maintain high levels of brand safety.
  • Take ownership for delivering regular performance updates, including weekly reports and post-campaign analysis to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Review campaigns and recommend changes and optimisation to develop global programmatic strategy.
  • Support on day-to-day administration of ongoing campaigns including financial aspects.
  • Work cross-functionally (e.g. with e-commerce, Paid Search, CRM, and other teams) to drive customer growth, activation, and retention.)
  • Collaborate with other channel partners (internal & external) to deliver and optimise the full customer journey.
  • Collaborate with Data Science team to understand the wider impact beyond any immediate/ platform-reported performance.
  • Continually acquire knowledge and identify new opportunities by maintaining strong relationships with key programmatic vendors.
  • Support the development of our global programmatic strategy, contributing toward the global acquisition and digital marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with content and creative team to build best-in-class assets for programmatic campaigns, in line with best-practice, and optimised for local markets.
  • Incorporate global marketing directive into programmatic plans for NPD launches and event-based activations – including creative considerations, messaging, and audience strategy.
  • Monitor competitor and consumer behaviour, to help inform ad decisions where relevant.
  • Research into trends, keeping abreast of the latest ad products/ technologies and provide use-case suggestions to help improve KPIs.

About you

  • Hands-on experience in programmatic trading, preferably from a high-growth company or agency.
  • Excellent hands-on experience activating campaigns across multiple creative formats, in various environments, preferably across international markets.
  • Hands on experience in ad trafficking, Google Campaign Manager and DV360 is a must.
  • Additional experience with other DSPs, e.g. The Trade Desk, Google Adds Verizon-Yahoo, etc. will be a bonus.
  • Experience in managing the creative/ content briefing process.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience using Excel and the ability to manipulate data to identify and recommend optimisation and growth opportunities. Experience in GA4 with a strong ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of integration with complementary ad tech stack, and add-ons.
  • Experience collaborating with data science team in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA).
  • Experience in DTC brands in beauty and/or luxury sectors would be a strong bonus.
  • A person who can demonstrate initiative and proactivity, work autonomously, and take responsibility for their tasks and duties.
  • Flexible self-starter with a positive attitude, willing to go above and beyond deliver results.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex channel level observations into actionable insights.
  • A people person who can work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, tolerance for ambiguity, and readiness to adapt to changing priorities dynamically.

We are looking for an experienced Release & Compliance Specialist to manage application releases across global marketing platforms. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all changes are aligned with established processes and controls, driving the timely and smooth execution of releases with minimal impact on the business. This is remote role with the possibility of on-site workshops few times a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the governance framework for change and release processes within direct-to-consumer (D2C) applications.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and platform teams to create comprehensive release plans and schedules.
  • Oversee the end-to-end release process, ensuring that all phases—from development to deployment—are carried out effectively.
  • Lead post-release reviews, providing insights for continuous process improvement and potential automation opportunities.
  • Facilitate release activities across multiple teams, ensuring seamless and on-time deployments.
  • Validate that testing (FAT/SIT/UAT) has been successfully completed before release.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Experience managing large external partner teams in a multi-vendor environment.
    • Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices (ITIL certification), particularly in change management.
  • Technical Skills:
