We are seeking a highly proficient and inspired Senior Software Engineer to lead and mentor our engineering team in the development of innovative and scalable software solutions. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing, developing, and deploying complex software systems while ensuring adherence to optimal practices and superior quality standards. Additionally, you will assume a pivotal role in driving technological advancements and mentoring junior engineers to promote their professional growth and development.

You should possess a strong affinity for working in rapidly developing and expanding organizations and possess the requisite background to excel in such environments. You are cognizant of the fast-paced, high-volume, and uncertain nature of operations within the organization and perceive it as an opportunity to deliver substantial outcomes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Quickly gain expertise with Kalderos’ existing environment and business models and provide input on how to continually enhance both.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues to ensure smooth operation of software systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the engineering team to ensure project success.
  • Communicate technical decisions and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Propose and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance software development processes.
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact project success.
  • Create clear and concise technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design patterns, and API specifications.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant software development experience.
  • 4 years of professional experience with either C# .NET or React (or both)
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Professional experience with one modern javascript framework and one object oriented language.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native platforms is required (Azure preferred).
  • Experience building/maintaining a mature CI/CD development environment
  • Ambition, initiative, and desire to learn new things and seek new responsibilities 
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and assignments

  • Find opportunities to broadcast knowledge and lessons learned across delivery teams

Qualifications

We’re looking for an experienced, full-stack engineer. More specifically, we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience designing, building, deploying, supporting SaaS products. You should have familiarity with cloud development, Test Driven Development (TDD), RESTFul APIs, XSS attacks, and MVC web frameworks. 

  • Someone who understands fundamental computer science concepts. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have a CS degree. You should be able to describe technical design options, engineering trade offs, making technical recommendations and decisions. 

  • Someone with a firm grasp of SQL and databases in general (including non-relational databases). You should know how to do CRUD operations, what indexes are and why they matter, and the difference between a left join and an inner join for instance.

  • Someone to work hand in hand with Product and UX, to design solutions that deliver business value and delight customers. 

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science (or related field), equivalent trade school degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 8+ years in a software engineering role, 12+ years preferred

  • Highly proficient with languages and technologies listed below

  • Experience with dialogue systems, machine learning systems, multi-agent LLM architectures, and  AI natural language processing (NLP)

  • Familiarity with AWS foundational services 

  • Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment

This role involves supporting and developing FoodStorm’s Order Management software platform, focusing on full-stack software and database development to build and enhance product functionality. About the Job

  • Develop full stack software and database enhancements to introduce new product functionality.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs/issues in collaboration with the support team.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years + proven experience in Web Application Development.
  • 4 years + Proficiency in Microsoft .NET, C#

  • T-SQL, Tables, Views, and Stored Procedures.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services, ideally the Azure Platform.
  • Exposure to front-end frameworks including React.
  • Experience writing and maintaining front and backend unit tests
  • Demonstrated capability in building security-centric software with a strong understanding of security practices including OWASP.

Qualifications

  • Prior Experience using Dynatrace or managing APM solutions a major plus (Strong expertise in this will be considered when there is a lack of another qualifying skill, although skill development and SA responsibilities will be remaining the same)
  • At least 5+ years of prior development experience in at least one object-oriented language. Solid understanding of byte-code based runtimes, i.e. Java, .NET
  • A general understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud with at least expertise and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others quickly.
  • Solution Architect must have a solid understanding of Network and Software Security Models, protocols, certificates, etc.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable .NET applications using C# programming language and SQL database.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our development processes.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science of other computer related disciplines. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in IT and 3+ years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on experience developing custom applications and integrations using C# programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience in web development using Microsoft technologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience and 3+ years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing custom applications and integrations using .Net standard, .Net core frameworks, C#, MVC, Web API, aspx Web forms, and REST API.
  • 5+ years of experience in handling Microsoft SQL server databases using ADO.net, Entity Framework, and writing efficient and complex SQL queries.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing front-end applications using JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
  • Experience configuring and implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solutions.
  • Proven hands-on experience working with data sources, APIs, and integration tools to ensure seamless data flow and accurate data management within the HubSpot ecosystem.
  • Broad understanding of SDLC concepts as well as system design including REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, SOAP.
  • Proven experience with data management and governance best practices including privacy and consent.
  • Experience with Agile development processes is preferred.

The Senior Software Engineer will design and implement software that solves complex business problems.  This person will identify risks and unnecessary complexity, and incorporate non-functional aspects into their software design. 

What will you do?

  • Engineer highly scalable, distributed web services & applications
  • Work on enterprise services and applications
  • Be responsible for the security and privacy of all protected health information that may be accessed during everyday work activities
  • Deliver high-quality code to production
  • Suggest paradigms, toolsets, frameworks, or third party solutions and work to establish consistency in terms of process and approach.
  • Support team members and drive: 
    • Partnership with and execution of product direction across the group.
    • Adoption of new technology and best practices.
    • Fostering a security mindset, helping to train and implement code security best practices within the team.
    • Aggregating and reviewing engineering performance and application uptime KPIs.
    • Strong mentorship and coaching to junior software engineers leading software design and implementation of most projects.
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement across dependent services and teams.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years of experience in the engineering field as a software engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of work experience in .NET framework, .Net Core, C#, Web API 2 and RESTful web services
  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular, NgRx, React, CSS3, HTML and Node
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Exposure to caching patterns and technologies is a plus(Redis, Couchbase, etc.)
  • Exposure to Document Databases is preferred
  • Experience with TDD and familiarity with Unit testing frameworks is preferred
  • Familiarity with messaging technologies like Kafka, Akka.Net, NServiceBus or RabbitMQ is a plus
  • Experience doing Agile spikes on new ideas, and once decisions are made helping to carry out the implementation.
  • Experience with multi-layer architecture, architectural patterns and Dependency Injection frameworks. Experience with Mediator pattern, Domain Driven Design and ORMs strongly desired
  • Strong understanding of service oriented architecture principles and techniques, object-oriented design principles, and database design and implementation
  • Experience with application containerization and container management is a plus
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with version control software such as GIT or TFS
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) is a plus

The base salary hiring range for this position is $108,900 to $189,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
