About You and How You Can Excel in This Role
Our front-end products are largely driven by the React framework, supported by a Laravel Rest Framework API. As a Fullstack Developer, you will have a deep understanding of Laravel and React and best practices within the frameworks. You will be eager to understand the use of the technologies that support our applications and able to make the best use of that extensive toolkit in building out new features or products.

Overview:

You will: 

  • Ensure product high uptime and reliability 24x7.
  • Manage Linux servers in a multi-cloud environment
  • Manage high availability Kubernetes resources using Helm charts
  • Assist with deploying upgrades and patches using Chef/Ansible/Puppet/Helm
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting warnings and alerts related to the reporting platform’s performance
  • Develop monitoring resources and alerting systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, DataDog and PagerDuty
  • Coordinate with DBA and developers to manage SQL and NOSQL database systems, including MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Postgres, MySQL and others

You have:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience of managing cloud based production environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
  • Highly experienced working in the Linux environment, good scripting in Bash / Python.
  • Highly experienced working configuration management systems like OpsCode Chef, Ansible, Puppet,  etc.
  • Strong experience in Terraform, CloudFormation or other IAC
  • Experienced in SQL, including DDL and complex queries
  • Experienced working in the Kubernetes platform
  • Experience working in a microservices architecture using a message bus
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines orchestrators like TeamCity, Jenkins, Gitlab
  • Ability to integrate security best practices into the SRE workflow.
  • Highly motivated and independent.
  • Team player and excellent interpersonal Skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A strong background in cloud, network and application security and compliance

About the role

Salary Range

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The career level we are targeting for this role has a base pay between $136,900 and $184,600. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer for the Data Platform team at Postscript, you will provide the company with best in class data foundations to support a broad range of key engineering and product initiatives. The Data Platform team at Postscript focuses on data integration through various sources like our production application and various 3rd party integrations. You will focus on designing and building end to end data pipeline solutions: data ingestion, propagation, persistence, and services to support both our product and our internal BI organization. This role is critical in ensuring data and events are reliable and actionable throughout the Postscript Platform.

 

Primary duties

  • Design and build performant and scalable data systems with high scale
  • Architect cloud native data solutions in AWS
  • Write high quality code to make your software designs a reality
  • Build services to support our product with cross domain data
  • Advise the team and organization on Data Engineering best practices to level up our competency in the organization
  • Mentor and support your fellow engineers via code reviews, design reviews and peer feedback

    • Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
    • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, React, Redis, and Postgres. Deep experience with modern software development practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps). Experience with Open Search and Clickhouse is desirable.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated the ability to lead and inspire a team and have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on delivering practical and scalable solutions.
    • Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices is highly desirable.

    The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000-150,000. Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.

    Overview

    LivePerson Tenfold is a state-of-the-art, born-in-the-cloud SaaS offering. Our Cloud platform is a multi-tenanted solution hosted on GCP using a modern technology stack. Most of our cloud software is deployed as microservices written in Node.JS on top of a NoSQL DB stack (MongoDB, Firebase, ElasticSearch). Our telephony connector layer is a mixture of ASP/.Net and Java code.

    The customer facing app is written in TypeScript using the modern Angular framework. It is deployed in several different contexts including as a Chrome extension, Electron desktop applications for both Windows and Mac, and embedded in a number of CRMs (including Salesforce) in an iFrame.

    You will be working directly with the customer facing application. As a Software Developer you will build components of the LivePerson Tenfold product with a focus on stability and innovation. You will be adding new features, creating new APIs, and working to delight our customers.

    You Will

    • Architect, Design and implement business software and underlying APIs
    • Work with Product Management to create delightful user experiences
    • Create platform-independent code that can be run on multi-browser, multi-OS environments
    • Play a critical role in all architecture, coding, testing, and deployment decisions.
    • Produce engineering specifications, delivery estimates, and implement solutions based on product requirements.
    • Provide technical documentation for the solutions that you implement
    • Collaborate with peers on specifications, code reviews, and testing.
    • Write unit and automated end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features.
    • Meet KPIs for engineering team and be responsible for them on a weekly basis
    • Communicating with customers and partners to be able to provide business value and engineering value to the problems at hand. 
    • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning sessions, grooming sessions, and retrospectives.

    You Have

    • 8+ years of Software development experience.
    • Experience writing code with TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js or equivalent frameworks.
    • Experience building applications using MongoDB.
    • Experience with data aggregation models for multiple data sources.
    • Experience building Enterprise class Multi-tenant SaaS application platform
    • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
    • Experience with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Nock.
    • Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics.
    • Experience with Agile development methodology. 
    • Preference to candidates with experience integrating telephony, CRM, or CTI applications.
    • Preference to candidates with MEAN stack experience.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
