What will you do?

Who Are You?

Must have:

  • 7+ years  of hands-on experience in Software Development with a focus on big data and large data pipelines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience to build services and pipelines using Python.
  • Expertise with a variety of data processing systems, including streaming, event, and batch (Spark, Hadoop/MapReduce)
  • Understanding of at least one NoSQL stores like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, HBase
  • Understanding of how data models, sharding and data location strategies for distributed data stores in large scale high-throughput and high-availability environments and their effect in non-structured text data processing
  • Experience with running scalable & high available systems with AWS or GCP.

Role:

Our Ads team is building out the Ads Ecosystem at Tubi to help advertisers reach their target audience as well as users to enjoy their favorite content for free. Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable, high throughput, and/or low latency distributed systems using Scala
  • API and service development with quality code and test coverage
  • Drive innovation and experimentation by proposing and prototyping new features and technologies, and evaluating their potential impact on the system
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback (especially critical feedback) to ensure the quality and consistency of the codebase

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems with one or more JVM languages (we use Scala)
  • 4+ years of experience with relational databases, caching technologies, and message brokers
  • Proven experience building near real-time services that are high-performing, scalable, and fault-tolerant

The base salary hiring range for this position is $92,300.00 - $160,800.00. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for a comprehensive Identity Access Management (IAM) system which includes:
    • Manage an Auth0 (Okta CIC) IdP Platform
    • Support team members with integrations of various third-party OIDC/SAML connections
  • Coordinate deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of various resources and services in GCP and AWS
  • Handle issuance of SSL/TLS certificates
  • Administrate DNS and IPAM
  • Be responsible for backup processes and disaster recovery strategies
  • Contribute to all aspects of a project, including but not limited to leading, planning, testing, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Lead multi-functional groups to identify, evaluate, and propose solutions for business problems.
  • Function with a customer service mentality, addressing their needs in perspective of the macro outcome

What you’ll bring:

  • 6+ years of:
    • Experience in DevOps, SRE, or CloudOps
    • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (NodeJS) programming languages
    • Proficiency in Terraform, Serverless, Cloudformation and/or other IaC tools
    • Experience with cloud computing such as AWS and GCP, including GCP Functions and/or Lambda
