Job Description

The Functional Analyst position is a critical role within our organization, focused on delivering high-quality software support to our customers and partners. You will be directly interacting with QAD customers through telephone and internet-based platforms, addressing inquiries related to QAD products. In this role, you are tasked with analyzing problems within QAD’s software applications, providing expert solutions, and adhering to the company’s strict quality processes, standards, and toolsets.

As a Functional Analyst, your responsibilities include maintaining a detailed log of problems and the steps taken for analysis. This rigorous documentation is essential as it aids in the creation and review of reusable solutions, subsequently posted on QAD’s website for global use by customers and partners. You will be expected to handle moderately complex issues, using your demonstrated knowledge and problem-solving skills. Collaborating with the team lead, peers, and the global Support team is crucial to determine the most effective solutions and maintain a high-quality support experience.

Given that our support organization operates 24/7, this position demands a flexible approach to scheduling. You will be expected to participate in shift rotations, initially focused on the American time zones, along with weekend shifts and potential on-call coverage as required. These elements are vital to providing continuous support to our global customer base. Your willingness to adapt to these scheduling requirements is crucial for the role.

In a structured team environment, you will be encouraged to engage in continuous learning and regular practice of existing product knowledge. This is necessary to stay prepared for any new challenges that might arise. Note: The role will require the person to support in American shifts ( 10 pm IST to 7 am IST ) with weekend support when required.
 

DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Incident Handling: 

  • Address incoming software issues from customers and partners through telephone and CRM. 
  • Work on problems of moderate complexity, requiring analysis of various factors. This includes formulating and enhancing reusable solutions to new and unique issues using solution-centered support methodologies (Analyze, test, and solve problems).
  • Escalate issues as necessary, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Ensure that support incidents are resolved in line with established Service Level Agreements.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Document all analyses and correspondences meticulously throughout the issue resolution process. Provide proactive status updates to customers, maintaining transparency and trust.

Knowledge Base Maintenance:

  • Efficiently search and maintain the QAD Knowledgebase. Update it with solutions to customer issues, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for problem resolution.

Team Assistance:

  • Assist team members both locally and globally, fostering a collaborative work environment. This includes cross-team collaboration to enhance the overall effectiveness of our support services.

Continuous Learning and Adaptation:

  • Engage in ongoing learning and practice of existing product knowledge. This is vital to stay prepared and responsive to new and evolving issues in a dynamic technological environment.

Qualifications

  • A University or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Logistics, Production Operations/Manufacturing Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the software, manufacturing, distribution, or accounting industryis preferred. Experience using and supporting any ERP (SAP, Oracle ERP, Ms Dynamics 365)or other business software applications is desired.
  • Proven track record in a Customer Service/Support capacity.
  •  Essential debugging/troubleshooting skills, including proficiency in navigating Unix, Windows, Internet, and networks, are required. Additionally, programming knowledge for troubleshooting in languages such as C, C++, Unix, Progress, Oracle, SQL, Java, or XML is highly beneficial.
  •  Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. This includes the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to accurately and effectively convey information in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to continually learn and adapt to new products and technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to build productive working relationships both within the organization and with external clients.
  • Capable of adapting to rotating shift schedules if needed.
  • Fluency in multiple international languages is good to have.
  • Professional certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., CPIM, CIRM) is good to have.

About the Role

The Director, Financial Systems, will be the strategic leader that helps set the vision for the financial systems and the strategy to deliver the needed outcomes.  This includes strong interpersonal skills to allow socializing the vision with partners and leaders, working with key finance and business stakeholders, process owners, and technology leads to ensure solutions have needed alignment.   This role must be strong in SOX and is responsible for the control environment for the ERP, other in-scope financial systems, and related integrations.  Other expectations include optimizing our current technology, assessing/replacing to scale the growing business, and leading automation for more effective financial reporting and accounting operations.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Financial Systems and Solutions in the CAO organization, who is   responsible for PMO, Financial Data, and Financial Systems functions.  We’re looking for a seasoned leader who wants a challenge and is willing to roll up their sleeves to help drive change.

 

 

About the Job

  • Responsible for the entire Finance IT ecosystem’s operation, maintenance, improvement, and long-term strategic vision
  • Maintain and evolve support to allow business partners to execute on routine recurring business processes to ensure the finance team can record and report timely
  • Maintain and improve compliance for SOX as well as manage and lead implementation and ongoing maintenance of ITGC and BP controls for relevant systems as well as partner closely with the Accounting teams to complete audit requests, walkthroughs, and provide samples/evidence. Ensure proactive scheduling of key deliverables, milestones, and deliverable tasks
  • Partner and contribute with latest Instacart technical decisions (tooling, system integrations, data management, etc) and assess impact to downstream financial systems and operations
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with other system owners across the organization and participate in decision-making for system selections, integrations, and synergies across technologies
  • Lead the Financial Systems team with excellence, focused on delivering to the committed projects, supporting the accounting/finance team’s work, and building/maintaining a compliant control environment
  • Build and maintain strong and dynamic relationships with business partners cross-functionally, providing partnership and support to the Finance and Accounting orgs

  • Establish key metrics that allow Financial Systems to measure velocity to optimize/measure effectiveness of resources
  • Design, enhance, and maintain consistent and applicable operating model to facilitate requirements gathering, manage overall testing of enterprise & department specific initiatives and impacts resulting from system changes/ enhancements
  • Create visibility that enables efficient resource management, prioritization of overlapping projects, and mitigates constraints and limitations
  • Planning and forecasting of operating expenses and resourcing costs and managing to committed budget and forecasted targets

 

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or related field
  • Experience as a strategy owner of financial technology ecosystem in a large growing company
  • Have extensive management experience in a financial system or related technical environment, having managed a large team with dual support/project functions
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working with Oracle Fusion and 10 Years of experience working with ERP systems and integrated technology

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving and managing financial software solutions and projects (including discovery, design, development and deployment) 
  • Experience implementing and maintaining SOX compliant controls and managing audit requests 
  • Senior leadership, presentation skills, solid collaboration and problem solving abilities

Nextiva is currently seeking bright and talented individuals for a Linux Systems Administrator position. The Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of Nextiva’s physical, virtual, and cloud servers running various flavors of the Linux operating system. The role is predominantly focused on problem resolution, enhancement request fulfillment, proactive monitoring, and preventative maintenance. In addition, the Linux SysAdmin will be responsible for automating common to complex tasks, overseeing patch management and deployment, multi-level troubleshooting and various other related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability and reliability of production, staging, and development servers and virtual machines meets the business needs
  • Troubleshoot issues and problems related to Linux OS, services and applications, networking, VMware, storage, and other related components
  • Collaborate with network engineering, software engineering, SRE/DevOps and others, to resolve incidents and outages
  • Maintain a robust patch and lifecycle management strategy to minimize security vulnerability exposure and maximize supportability
  • Manage and deploy virtualized instances running Linux and Windows
  • Write Ansible playbooks to facilitate automation
  • Monitor servers and infrastructure to proactively identify potential issues and outages, before they happen
  • Build, maintain, and promote strong technical documentation
  • Collaborating with and cross-train other administrators to guarantee transfer of knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, including both Red Hat and Debian based operating systems
  • Strong experience with VMware virtualization platform and vSphere management
  • Strong experience writing automation with an emphasis on Ansible
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks
  • Working knowledge of physical and virtual storage concepts, including iSCSI
  • Working knowledge of common web services including Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat
  • Working knowledge of public clouds such as AWS, GCP, and Oracle Cloud
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Solarwinds, Kibana, Filebeat
  • Experience working with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work under tight deadlines while delivering high quality results
  • Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems, identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable and quick-thinking with a proactive approach, an enterprise focus, an understanding of shifting business needs and the ability to change priorities with ease

You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • Managing and maintain our core finance applications, including Oracle NetSuite and integrated cloud-based applications such as Coupa, Mesh, Expensify, Stripe, Avalara, Adaptive, Mesh.
  • Managing system upgrades and refreshes, ensuring operational continuity and system integrity.
  • Responding to end-user requests and tickets, providing timely solutions aligned with best practices and business priorities.

  • Strong data management skills and Excel capabilities.
