Job Duties:  

  1. Work on in-house development projects using Oracle Fusion Financials. Provide technical leadership and participate in all phases of the software application development life cycle. Will customize and integrate enterprise solution applications.

  4. Will be responsible for all changes/enhancements in Record to Report/peripheral modules (GL, FA, CE, Intercompany, P2P related), including hands on configurations in these modules. 
  5. Promote user adoption by facilitating user acceptance testing and training. Responsible for proactive action regarding quarterly updates, including researching known issues, testing key processes, and educating business SME/business process owners on new functionality. 
  6. Create extracts, create, and modify reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, SQL, Hyperion Studio, and Hyperion SmartView. 
  7. Identify, understand, and apply usage of SOAP and ReST APIs of Oracle ERP Fusion Cloud delivered Web Services to integrate external systems.

This position does not have direct reports but leverages teams across the department to meet project objectives successfully. 

 

About the Job

  • Lead the conversion of strategic plans into executable actions by managing the rollout of cross-functional project initiatives.
  • Spearhead major transformative projects through the adoption of new systems, processes, and operational guidelines.
  • Act as the go-to Financial Accounting expert, providing pivotal insights, suggesting solutions, and representing financial interests in project discussions.
  • Build relationships with business partners and lead cross-functional teams to pinpoint and rank key improvement areas.
  • Facilitate and conduct analysis sessions, including root cause analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, and control documentation.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Computer Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibilities in operational accounting.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects and/or system implementations.
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and effective control setups.
  • Proficient in leveraging financial systems to implement technical policies.
  • Proven track record as a change leader with strong influence on leadership and project teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with significant analytical and interpersonal abilities.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification.

QAD is looking for an Application Senior Technical Consultant with German who will analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring smooth operations and providing technical guidance and support to the end user (customer). You will also contribute to the overall success of the organization by implementing effective solutions and driving continuous improvement. This role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a solid knowledge of IT systems and processes. You will provide software support regarding our SRM software only. The majority of the questions are placed by the customer directly. Additionally, as an Application Senior Technical Consultant you will play a key role in developing training content for the team, enhancing their capabilities in complex case resolution.

This position is located in Poland and is a fully remote opportunity.

What you will do:

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical problems related to the SRM application. Working closely with customers and partners to identify and resolve issues promptly. Ensure that support incidents are resolved in line with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Documenting issues and solutions for future reference and analysis. 
  • Implement regular software updates of the SRM application in different environments, such as AWS or customer environments.
  • Efficiently search and maintain the QAD Knowledgebase. Update it with solutions to customer issues, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for problem resolution.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Functional Analysts, fostering professional development and skill enhancement. Lead in sharing best practices and developing innovative solutions, enhancing the team’s overall problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborating with other members of IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Education in the field of Computer Science, IT-related studies or comparable qualifications.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Customer Service/Support department as a Technical Analyst within the B2B area.
  • Previous experience and the ability to read the code and implement changes in Java programming language are essential to the role.
  • Previous experience with server containers such as Tomcat are essential to the role.
  • Previous experience in dealing with database structure and queries especially for PostgreSQL and basic Oracle SQL are essential to the role.
  • Practical knowledge and familiarity in MS-Excel, HTML, CSS,  XML, REST API and JSON are desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and ideally Windows are required.
  • Experience working with ITIL or an understanding of the framework is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to continually learn new products and technologies. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization & communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to build productive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Fluent German and very good English language skills are required.

The Senior Accountant will perform general accounting duties and various ad hoc requests while supporting the Finance department in a fast-paced environment. The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting, reconciling and reporting revenue in accordance with US GAAP revenue accounting standards, Company policies and procedures as well as assisting with system clean from the implementation of a new revenue recognition software. This is a hands-on role that requires ownership and responsibility for periodic and ad hoc reconciliations of various revenue related areas including month end-close, year-end financial statement and related footnotes as well as customer cohort analysis. This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting and reporting of revenue in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606 across the consolidated company
  • Complete month and year-end closing processes and prepare journal entries as applicable:
    • Lead the audit process as it relates to revenue, including managing the auditing requests, support and financial statement disclosure preparation
    • Reconcile monthly revenue to contract detail, including analyzing cash collections, performance obligations and various reporting metrics
    • Investigate and review unique revenue recognition events, including point-in-time (device shipments), over-time (subscription services), percent-of-completion (implementation services) and variable consideration (returns)
    • Perform balance sheet rollforwards of contract asset, deferred revenue and capitalized commissions
    • Be proactive and take initiative when performing tasks to help maintain the integrity of the financial statements and increase efficiencies
  • Assist in system implementation clean up as it relates to the previous implementation of Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Services (“RMCS”)
    • Investigate and validate large volumes of data to determine issues and corrections required of the revenue accounting system
    • Test and reconcile configuration and system process to determine best methods for corrections of the revenue accounting systems.
    • Assist in building checks and balances controls with new system
  • Calculate Standalone Selling Price (SSP) on a periodic basis for use in RMCS allocations.
  • Review non-standard contracts to determine revenue recognition, contract terms and other relevant information
  • Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of the technical accounting policies, including Nextiva’s internal Revenue Recognition Policy
  • Participate in process development and continuous improvement projects
  • Develop and establish business partnering relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services, Device Product Development, Billing, FP&A, Accounting, IT and Legal
  • Lead, assist or participate in Revenue Recognition projects as directed by Director of Accounting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA and Big 4 firm, preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 knowledge required
  • Strong experience and familiarity with quote to cash cycle, specifically knowledge of sku and product hierarchies as well as Software-as-a-Service companies
  • Prior experience with revenue recognition and contract management systems. Oracle Revenue Management (RMCS) and Salesforce preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel w/power user abilities to perform pivots, LookUps, etc.
  • Plus for user knowledge of high-powered computing tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and to complete them in a timely manner in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take initiative, identify issues, act independently, and communicate and present recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to analyze complex data and communicate observations in a simplified manner
  • Strong business judgement and ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with various levels in the organization, be a revenue recognition champion with the ability to communicate in “plain-english” revenue concepts to non-revenue colleagues.

  • Implement regular software updates of the SRM application in different environments, such as AWS or customer environments.
  • Efficiently search and maintain the QAD Knowledgebase. Update it with solutions to customer issues, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for problem resolution.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Functional Analysts, fostering professional development and skill enhancement. Lead in sharing best practices and developing innovative solutions, enhancing the team’s overall problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborating with other members of IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Education in the field of Computer Science, IT-related studies or comparable qualifications.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Customer Service/Support department as a Technical Analyst within the B2B area.
  • Previous experience and the ability to read the code and implement changes in Java programming language are essential to the role.
  • Previous experience with server containers such as Tomcat are essential to the role.
  • Previous experience in dealing with database structure and queries especially for PostgreSQL and basic Oracle SQL are essential to the role.
  • Practical knowledge and familiarity in MS-Excel, HTML, CSS,  XML, REST API and JSON are desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and ideally Windows are required.
  • Experience working with ITIL or an understanding of the framework is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to continually learn new products and technologies. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization & communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to build productive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Fluent (C2) German and very good (C1) English language skills are required.

What your day looks like:

  • Administer enterprise-level Oracle Linux systems for development, test, and production environments using VMWare, Puppet and Ansible in a Highly-Available 24/7 production environment
  • Install new and/or rebuild and maintain existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards, policies, project and operational requirements, and licensing agreements

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure or add new services as necessary

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up. Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary
  • Provide Tier III and other support per request from various constituencies
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users/groups
  • Maintain and update installation and configuration procedures and documentation. Research and recommend innovative approaches for improving system administration tasks

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or other related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with Oracle or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x required, along with Ansible, Puppet, Apache and Tomcat
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certifications desired
  • Strong and well-rounded background in network, host (RedHat/CentOS) and application security
  • Experience with F5 (BigIP) load balancing of web and application servers.
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS, WebLogic, ODA appliance
  • Virtualization experience, VMWare 7.x, VSphere and VCloud strongly preferred
  • Developing and maintaining shell scripts to perform administrative tasks
  • Storage technologies & networks (SAN, NAS, RAID, iSCSI, fibre channel, infiniband)
  • Experience in Content/Config management (Foreman/Katello or similar)

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
