Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical & Electronics/ Masters in Computer Applications
  • At least 5+ years of overall experience in automotive software development and software quality activities including project management, quality management, requirements engineering, system analysis and validation.
  • Tier 1 experience in automotive software and interfacing with OEM customer
  • Strong Technical experience in embedded Software Development.
  • People and Project Management Experience including handling appraisals, project budget planning, critical conversations.
  • Good Leadership skills and understanding of leadership
  • Good understanding of Integrity and Compliance systems.
  • Experience in Quality Management practices supporting embedded system projects
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE/CMMi, ISO 26262
  • Good Understanding of embedded Software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Exposure to Supplier Quality assurance activities
  • Good exposure to configuration management tools like GIT and requirement management tools.
  • Knowledge of Code Quality Assurance Tools.
  • Willingness to travel internationally

Nice to have

  • Demonstrate successful project management for on time completion of a project with proven compliance to ISO 26262 and A-SPICE.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work with engineering teams internally and at several suppliers to ensure 100% on-time performance for all customer software deliverables.
  • Ensure that all development, testing, and validation timing meet customer milestones and deliverables based on internal and supplier development schedules.
  • Manage program according to A-SPICE processes.
  • Work with the team closely to understand the status of the development, identify issue areas, propose solutions to those areas, and report the status to management as well as to customer frequently.
  • Establish software program timing plans to proactively guide projects through all phases of software development and ensure progress is being made toward project completion and meeting customer expectations and deliverables. Identify potential project risks and issues, alerting team members, contributing to identifying solutions, and escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure to meet internal and external gate requirements for software development and present the status of the programs in management gate reviews.
  • Initiate, maintain, and publish program/project open issue lists, summary, and status. Follow up with internal teams and customer to make sure that issues are being tracked, resolved, and closed.
  • Manage suppliers developing different parts of the product code and report status to the teams internally and include the update to the overall SW development plan.

  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes and reviews within the organization. And communicate transparently the progress of the SDLC and improvement initiatives
  • Establish metrics for SDLC ceremonies to measure effectiveness. Create cohesion and End-to-End (E2E) traceability through SDLC Events and artifacts.
  • Enhance SDLC process efficiency through data-driven approaches, implementing new techniques and tooling like automation, AI, etc.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups to foster improvements of the SDLC. Organizing and coordinating dedicated working teams in PnE if necessary
  • Support and participate in initiatives such as release management, roadmap planning, etc., from an SDLC perspective.

The qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, in a process improvement, SDLC management role or project/release management role.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies. 
  • Proven track record of implementing and optimizing SDLC processes in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions

You Have:

  • Minimum of 8+ years experience as a data-oriented Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Lead capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or relevant years of work experience
  • Experience working with Data Platform Engineering teams to ship scalable data products and technical roadmaps
  • Previous experience building data platforms on the cloud using Databricks or Snowflake
  • Proficiency in Jira or other project management tools
  • Knowledge of modern data stacks like Airflow, Databricks, Google BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran
  • Ability to understand different data domains and technical requirements
  • Experience collaborating with different stakeholders such as Analytics, ML, Finance, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines
  • Knowledge of SQL to independently investigate and test datasets, perform data validation, sketch solutions, and create basic proofs of concept

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $93,600 - $122,850  per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $$84,240 - $110,565 per year. Responsibilities

About This Role
