About the Role

As an Implementation Project Manager for Caper Hardware Operations, you will have the opportunity to drive the planning and continuous improvement of the Caper cart Deployment process as we scale to many thousands of carts in the market.

Caper.ai is a subsidiary of Instacart and an AI company. It leverages cutting-edge AI and computer vision technology to bring an autonomous shopping experience to the store.

Its product, the Caper Cart - an AI-powered smart cart equipped with scales, sensors, touchscreens, and computer vision technology, is the cornerstone of the Instacart Platform Connected Stores initiative.

About the Job

  • Responsible for project management of cart deployments across retailer stores, encompassing initial requirement collection through to assured on-time execution 
  • Identify and implement enhancements to drive efficiency and accuracy in the hardware requirement gathering process
  • Develop comprehensive 90-day Deployment Plan, strategically balancing concurrent deployment demands with resource allocation
  • Highlight and navigate conflicting priorities and efficiency or cost trade-offs within the Deployment Planning process
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication, ensuring that all prerequisites are addressed to have a successful deployment
  • Develop, publish and maintain a dynamic Deployment Schedule, in close collaboration with Hardware Maintenance
  • Monitor the execution of the Deployment Schedule and proactively flag risks to facilitate corrective adjustments
  • Assess ongoing initiatives and make recommendations for schedule and resource optimization across maintenance and deployment initiatives
  • Craft detailed and comprehensive procedural and operational documentation of the Caper Hardware Request to Deployment Process
  • Maintain rolling documentation of completed deployments and plans

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deployment initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience in using quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategic decisions and drive improvements
  • Proficient in Google Sheets
  • Strong written and documentation skills
  • Availability for travel as required to meet business needs
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

The current range for this role is $104,000 - $163,000 (base salary)  + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for software implementations, including planning, execution, testing, training, monitoring, and closing phases.

About The Role

This is the first time we are going to hire project managers, so you will have an opportunity to help us build our internal PM processes and shape the role based on your own experience. We look for people who are ready for that challenge, are not afraid to fail from time to time and learn from those failures together with us in a safe environment. Our engineers work with customers to implement ThousandEyes solution and drive customer onboarding to the platform. Now we want to go to the next level by having our own Project Management team. As a Project Manager, you will oversee technical implementation projects to ensure that use cases are deployed smoothly and on time. You will encounter a variety of projects ranging from a few dozen to thousands of hours with a lot of moving parts and demanding stakeholders. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and plan the IT project implementation from the initiation until closure
  • Build strong customer and internal stakeholder relationships, create robust project plans and drive engagement successfully towards completion
  • Monitor and track action items through to closure. Record and manage all decisions, risks or issues
  • Coordinate ThousandEyes project resources to drive performance
  • Contribute to continuous PMO process improvements by promoting and highlighting successful experiences
  • Act as a key contact for the customer and escalation point for project issues
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and it’s acknowledgement by customer

Qualifications

  • Min. 2-3 + years of Project Management experience
  • Direct experience leading all phases of the IT software implementation project lifecycle
  • Relevant Project Management certification: PRINCE2, PMP etc.
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Experience maintaining or implementing LAN/WAN environments
  • Familiarity with web technologies (deployment, maintenance, debugging) including REST APIs
  • Experience running multiple projects simultaneously with cross-team dependencies
  • Experience working with senior level customer collaborators
  • Able to take consultative approach ensuring scope and project boundaries are maintained
  • Problem solver who seeks the best solutions for both customers and ThousandEyes team
  • Confident and clear presenter
  • Able to work creatively in environment where not all processes are present
  • Mindset to improve existing processes when gaps/issues are uncovered

  • As a Project Manager you will provide project management expertise throughout the entire ERP Implementation project lifecycle. 
  • Your strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills enable you to keep all stakeholder satisfied and updated on the progress of the project. 
  • You will follow change control procedures, ensuring stakeholder agreement beforehand for any revisions to the project from project sponsors. 
  • You track project deliverables and communicate with customer sponsors to deliver on-time, within scope and on budget.

Manages relationships with internal Unit4 and customer stakeholders at all levels using advanced and timely communication skills. Known as advanced level practitioner with track record of successful delivery across multiple engagements. Coaches and mentors junior PM staff. Able to lead and demonstrate project management best practices.

  • You have a Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field;
  • Typically, 6 or more years of related professional project management experience;
  • Evidence of proven team leadership over large scale technical engagements (6+ team members, over 500 K€, over 9 months duration, multiple product suites);
  • International experience preferred; 
  • Highly driven with excellent communications skills both oral and written, able to influence at senior level within Unit4 and with customers at senior level, listens and communicates effectively;
  • Demonstrates the ability to apply sound judgment to any situation and achieve desired outcomes;
  • Demonstrates product proficiency, by achieving appropriate Unit4 professional certifications;
  • Able to form and manage cross functional teams and apply leadership skills;
  • Proven negotiation skills;
  • Evidence of successful relationship building within Unit4 team e.g. Sales and Support teams;
  • Collaborates and builds best practice knowledge across regional Unit4 PM teams;
