At Squarespace, Customer Operations empowers users to give voice to their ideas and make it easy for them when they need help. Our team runs 24/7 with about 400 people between New York, Dublin, Portland and a remote workforce. Customer Support Associates are on the front lines working with our customers every day to ensure that issues with their accounts are resolved promptly. You will use your system knowledge and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience to solve problems for our users but advocate for our brand.

This remote role reports to a Customer Support Team Lead in Dublin Ireland. Your first two weeks at Squarespace will include mandatory virtual training from September 02 through September 13, 2024. You must have both spoken and written fluency in English and German.

You'll Get To…

  • Respond to customer-submitted live chats and emails in a timely manner
  • Queue-based, typing work will account for approximately 90% of the role.
  • Live Chat is our primary channel of support in this role.
  • Troubleshoot and guide customers through questions and issues with their Account, Billing, Domain, or other transactional inquiries
  • Independently meet targets across Quality, Productivity and Customer Satisfaction, in email and live chat.
  • Stay up to date on new product features and improvements
  • Identify isolated customer experiences and escalate important issues.

Who We're Looking For

  • Open availability to work a 40 hour work week that spans weekends and holidays as our customers need us.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and German

What you'll do

The Durable Objects (DO) team is responsible for DO, Cloudflare's distributed coordination API with strongly consistent storage. In this role, you will work with a top-notch engineering team to expand Cloudflare's capabilities by ensuring continual reliability, maintaining best-in-class performance, and implementing new features and functionality. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might write a design document that outlines how you plan to solve a specific problem, modify how R2 Storage processes requests, or fix a bug in how our user experience renders. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including, but not limited to JavaScript, Typescript, Rust, and C++.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 10+ years experience working with distributed systems or developing on cloud platforms.
  • An operational mindset - we don't just write code, we also own it in production
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one systems programming language such as C/C++ or Rust
  • Experience in designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, especially serverless platforms
  • Experience being in a technical leader or operating in a team lead role

You’ll Get To...

  • Be the primary contact in supporting our internal Acuity and Customer Success teams and manage the relationship between WFS and team leadership
  • Identify trends in data and develop recommendations for operational improvements within Customer Support to improve efficiency and the customer experience

Job Description

As an engineer for this forward-thinking startup, you will not be locked in the backroom implementing specs sheets - you’ll be talking to the customers/teachers who already love their product, and figuring out how to make it work even better for them. Qualifications

About the Role

Cloudflare is building a brand new way of running globally distributed compute for both CPU and GPU workloads, and we need a strong Systems Engineer well-versed in Linux systems and network programming to join this effort. Our edge network spans the world and lets us treat the entire network as a compute resource to build ultra-low latency applications. This is the core of how we ship great new products every year — and this team is taking this way of building, and growing it into a platform of its own with both internal and external use cases.

This team works on some of the most challenging compute problems at Cloudflare — secure sandboxing of GPU and AI workloads, high throughput network data plane where every millisecond counts, distributed routing control plane.

Skills & Technologies

We are looking for engineers with battle-tested experience in Linux systems and network programming. Come help build something new and transformative for the company that nearly 20% of the internet already depends on.

The Role: Staff Software Engineer (Applied Cryptography)

Security of customers’ digital assets and personal information held with Gemini is our first and foremost priority. Gemini’s Signing team develops and maintains software for the purpose of working with Gemini customers’ digital assets. To directly support our cryptographic software, hardware, and trusted execution environments, this work includes developing and managing cryptographic security tools and libraries and building new tools to help customers securely interact with various blockchains.

In our work, we research and develop approaches in our signing environment. Among other projects, this may include implementing secure multi-party computation, partial homomorphic schemes, and applying zero knowledge proofs. We do this all while using hardware to protect our keys in trusted platform modules (TPMs), hardware security modules (HSMs), and trusted execution environments (TEEs). An ideal candidate would have experience in the implementation of cryptographic software that was used with one or more of these hardware areas (e.g., signing, encrypting, load-time attestation, digital signatures, sealing, binding). This engineer will also work closely with various teams including our Security Operations, Custody, Product Security, Wallet Engineering, and Platform Engineering teams. 

We are a dynamic group with both entrepreneurial spirit and security engineering experience. We have incredibly high aspirations, and we are looking for like-minded individuals who want to guide the transition to a new more decentralized world where access to digital assets is normalized and ubiquitous.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build the software that is the foundation for our MPC work
  • Implement software applications that may include key storage, signing, encryption, code attestation, or secure boot
  • Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions supporting maintenance of digital assets
  • Work closely with software security engineers to develop the capabilities of the existing signing security infrastructure with a goal of security and scalability
  • Develop tools that integrate security into systems and process
  • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) scenarios to validate operability of physical and digital material
  • Work with hardware security mechanisms of interest including a trusted platform module (TPM) and/or hardware security modules (HSMs), and/or other similar hardware key storage mechanisms

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Software development experience in at least one of homomorphic encryption, secure multiparty computation, security protocols, PAKE protocols, zero knowledge proofs, or pallier encryption
  • Strong understanding of encryption and key management
  • Experience in systems architecture, computer architecture, trustworthy computing, or cryptographic protocols
  • Experience in system algorithms with performance understanding and optimizations (hardware and software)
  • Experience integrating or deploying in production environments
  • Familiarity with a modern programming language (e.g., Rust, Python, C++, Scala) and a shell environment
  • Experience in researching and addressing complex business topics around TPMs, HSMs, TEEs, secure build infrastructure, and applied cryptography. Candidates without a strong understanding in one of these areas may still be a strong candidate if this is offset by a strong background in a systems security area (e.g., operating systems, embedded systems security, firmware security, network security engineering)
  • Strong understanding of systems/network security, secure protocol design, secure build and supply chain management, encryption, authentication, key management and applied cryptography
  • Demonstrated ability to convert theoretical security concepts into production
  • Proficiency in a common scripting language including but not limited to Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Able to troubleshoot and debug issues, and demonstrate a methodical approach to root cause analysis
  • Experience working with engineering teams, teaching, training, and mentoring on how to implement best-practice technical solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; attentive to details

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in software development with a focus in applied cryptography
  • 2+ years experience in reading/writing code in Rust, Python, Linux, Scala, C/C++
  • 2+ years experience with secure software that makes use of a trusted platform module (TPM), hardware security module (HSM), trusted execution environment (TEE), smartcard, and/or other similar hardware key storage mechanism
  • Solid understanding of product management and product ownership, software development practices (e.g., SDLC), and methodologies

The Role:

Mozilla is seeking a Staff Operations Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and improving critical systems vital to the everyday operations of the enterprise! The person in this role will succeed in contributing to others’ success and seeking opportunities to collaborate for the collective benefit. Expectations of work for this position will vary from performing a task to being more involved by mentoring skills. This will be someone who enjoys working with a wide range of technologies, solutions, and experiences, passionately solutions to the immediate needs of the day while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for a comprehensive Identity Access Management (IAM) system which includes:
    • Manage an Auth0 (Okta CIC) IdP Platform
    • Support team members with integrations of various third-party OIDC/SAML connections
  • Coordinate deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of various resources and services in GCP and AWS
  • Handle issuance of SSL/TLS certificates
  • Administrate DNS and IPAM
  • Be responsible for backup processes and disaster recovery strategies
  • Contribute to all aspects of a project, including but not limited to leading, planning, testing, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Lead multi-functional groups to identify, evaluate, and propose solutions for business problems.
  • Function with a customer service mentality, addressing their needs in perspective of the macro outcome
  • Roadmap and plan opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Document status, process, procedures, etc., transparently, whereas anyone else can see who/what/when/where/why/how something was/should be done
  • Lead independently in a dynamic environment

What you’ll bring:

  • 6+ years of:
    • Experience in DevOps, SRE, or CloudOps
    • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (NodeJS) programming languages
    • Proficiency in Terraform, Serverless, Cloudformation and/or other IaC tools
    • Experience with cloud computing such as AWS and GCP, including GCP Functions and/or Lambda
  • 3+ years experience in Identity Access Management products and frameworks such as Auth0, OIDC, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and LDAP
  • Experience in the following is a bonus but not a requirement:
    • Rust programming language
    • Platforms such as GKE, Kubernetes, and Cloud Run
    • CI/CD pipelines such as Github Actions, AWS Codebuild, GCP Cloud Build, and Jenkins
    • RDS and NoSQL database schemas and administration, such as DynamoDB and MySQL
    • Monitoring and logging with services such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Stackdriver
    • Infoblox DNS/IPAM appliance
    • LDAP server administration
