Job Description

Role purpose:

  • To work within the IT infrastructure engineering team, contributing to development and implementation of information service and technology solutions as used by the company at large.
  • To lead efforts by the security operations team in pursuance of mitigation of security risks and issues.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Working with team members and internal stakeholder to design and implement IS&T solutions and changes, including both technical design and business/operational design elements.
  • Participation in security operations management across various estates, including tracking and reporting on vulnerability status, working with info-sec and governance owners to define and track information security risks, and working on initiatives to risk reduce technology use within the business.

 

Qualifications

Core expertise and skills:

  • Security engineering including firewalling, vulnerability remediation.
  • Technical stewardship of third-party pen testing and analysis of results.
  • Identity management and access control solutions (IAM, RBAC, ABAC eg Sailpoint ID now, Okta etc).
  • Public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Private cloud (VCD in particular) and hypervisors (Vmware stack in particular).
  • Networking L2,L3 including routing protocols, OSI, VPN (IPSEC, SSL), TCP/IP suite (DNS, DHCP, TLS), CDNs, NAT, reverse proxying.
  • Windows operating system platforms.
  • Experience in working in a large enterprise ITSM environment.
  • Experience of working in a delivery-assurance environment, including experience of working within both agile and linear/waterfall delivery processes.
  • Experience in working in a service outsourced environment / experience working with multiple service partners.
  • Experience working in a change managed/release managed environment.
  • Experience working within a risk managed/ ISMS environment.
  • Automation and scripting expertise (e.g. PowerShell, Phyton, Rundeck, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with backup, recovery, and replication technologies (eg Comvault, Veeam, Zerto)
  • Good understanding of business continuity processes and practices.
  • Experience of ESD / patch management technologies (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, Avanti patch manager).
  • Experience of report and MI generation for use by executive decision-making process.
  • Effective communication skills / high level of technical English fluency.
  •  

Beneficial expertise and skills:

  • ITIL certified (foundation v3 or v4).
  • Experience of database services administration e.g. SQL server config, PaaS / database as a service administration.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Experience drafting operational procedures/run books.
  • Experience drafting design reference/documentation.
  • *nix operating system platforms (e.g. various Linux distros).
  • Participation in pre-sales technical consultancy (not necessarily customer facing).
  • Involvement in supporting SaaS / PaaS solutions, e.g. 3rd line engineering support.
  • Familiarity with service/site reliability design/fault domain design etc.
  • Experience of presenting / reporting to higher management.

About This Role

Responsibilities:

The Identity Access Management Technician’s role is to plan, organize, and manage the enterprise identity environment at iRhythm Technologies. This position will ensure that the identity systems, privileged access, and associated integrations are properly planned, installed, configured, documented, secured, and maintained particularly Active Directory and Okta. This role will also be working closely with engineers and systems owners and partner with other organizations in the business. Must have excellent customer service written and verbal skills, be process driven, detailed oriented, able to adapt to change, and must be able to lead projects, such as account provisioning and de-provisioning, end user provisioning, integrating new software technology.

What You'll Be Doing:

Duties in this role include:

  • Responsible for securing and documenting approvals prior to provisioning identity access
  • Responsible for securing and documenting access requirements and provisioning access for onboarding new hires
  • Responsible for de-provisioning access for offboarding employees
  • Responsible for the architecting, management, support, documentation, and maintenance of documentation for identity access systems and Okta
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining data integrity and consistency within Active Directory and other Enterprise Systems
  • Adhere to industry best practices for identity technologies
  • Responsible for the provisioning of cloud based applications
  • Assist with coordinating the build-out of IAM connectors to requested applications or systems

What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Must have at least 4-7 years experience in Identity and Access Management/Access Control or related position
  • Excellent interaction and communication skills; ability to communicate (both written and verbal) clearly and concisely
  • High energy and ability to work independently in a very fast growth environment
  • Experience with Microsoft collaboration suite (Office 365 Mail, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Server operating Systems & Active Directory
  • Candidate should have a solid understanding of information security policies, standards, and industry leading practices
  • Self-starter; adaptable to change; motivated to set personal and program goals and proactively track performance against goals and initiatives
  • Willingness to learn new technology, tools and create new processes to meet control objectives

About the role

Qualifications

 

  • 4 to 7 years functional experience; 3 to 5 years of supervisory/people leader experience.
  • Security concepts and technologies in the wider Identity and Access management space (Logical Access Controls, RBAC, Zero Trust Authentication, Shift-left, PKI concepts).
  • Working knowledge of SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, AWS, Azure AD.
  • Risk Management processes, methodologies, and best practice. Implemented solutions to reduce level of exposure and risk.
  • Insight of applicable legislations (PCI, GDPR, SOC2)

About the role 

As a Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing security technologies and the supporting infrastructure.  You will  be responsible for ensuring systems are secure, highly available, fault tolerant, and scale to meet business needs.
