About the Role:

With such a large catalog of content, data and machine learning are fundamental to Tubi's success, and Tubi's Data Platform is the cornerstone of all data and ML use. At Tubi, you will join a stellar team of engineers with a passion for solving the most challenging problems using cutting-edge technology. In this Lead Data Engineering role, you will be expected to be a hands-on leader, leading by example as you and your team build out real-time systems to handle data at massive scale. You will enable machine learning engineers to iterate and experiment faster than ever before. You will help data scientists take ideas to production in days or weeks, not months or years. And you will build tools to enable data analysis and modeling for even the least tech-savvy colleagues. In short, you will enable Tubi to be truly data-driven.

Responsibilities: 

  • Handle the collection and processing of large scale raw data.
  • Building low latency and low maintenance data infrastructure that powers the whole company
  • Develop and enhance our analytics pipeline by creating new tools and solutions to facilitate intuitive data consumption for stakeholders
  • Constructs and improves infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, loading and cleaning from diverse sources using API’s, SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Improving data quality by building tools, processes and pipelines to enforce, check and manage data quality at a large scale.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data operations ensuring efficient and smooth deployment of data models and applications.
  • Address ad hoc data requests and core pipeline tasks

Your Background:

  • 5+ years of experience building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines (Spark or Flink)
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing pipelines for ETL and cleaning of data from a wide variety of sources using API’s, SQL, Spark and AWS technologies.
  • Greenfield data warehouse modeling experience
  • Strong knowledge of Streaming, distributed databases, and cloud storage (e.g., S3).
  • Strong experience in JVM language (Scala is not required, but preferred)
  • Prior experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

$164,000 to $234,000 / year + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top tier university; Master’s degree preferred

What you will do:

The Role: Senior Application Security Engineer

As a member of the Application Security (AppSec) team, you will share in the responsibility of protecting the company and our customers against application security threats. The AppSec team is focused on the advancement of modern application security practices and supports the engineering organization by finding, fixing, and preventing software security vulnerabilities.

As a Senior Application Security Engineer on the Application Security team’s Product Security group, you will work closely with engineering and product teams to provide security recommendations and identify security issues throughout the software development lifecycle. This includes secure design reviews, threat modeling, secure code review, and penetration testing among other activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Gemini Secure Software Development Lifecycle as an application security subject matter expert through design review, threat modeling, code review, and penetration testing
  • Collaborate and advise engineering teams on application security best practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Perform deep-dive security reviews to ensure all Gemini products and services follow secure design principles across our product portfolio (web, mobile, and APIs)
  • Develop tools and research to scale the Product Security team
  • Create and deliver hands-on software security training to engineering teams to increase security awareness
  • Participate in the Application Security on-call rotation to support engineering teams during incidents

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that is the main orchestration layer behind Rokt's selection systems.

About the role: 

  • Writing high quality and maintainable code in a modern programming language like Go, Scala and TypeScript.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying and managing backend applications.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containerization and orchestration tools will contribute to the seamless deployment and maintenance of our backend infrastructure.

Torc's Map Enablement Team is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help deliver a mapping and routing system that can scale with Torc’s commercial expansion. A strong technical foundation in delivering data processing pipelines and APIs is important for this role. This individual will collaborate with engineering teams that use Map Enablement’s software, creating tailored solutions and turning feedback into features. 

  • Uphold a culture of collaboration, transparency, creativity, inclusion, and data-driven decisions. 
  • Write technical design documents and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Work with the Map Enablement and neighboring teams to deliver scalable, cost-effective mapping solutions for Torc in preparation for commercial launch.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence by implementing effective testing and monitoring for Map Enablement’s services and pipelines.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support the health of our services.
  • Participate in project planning and collaborate with technical product managers on the priorities and customer expectations of the proposed software solutions.
  • Document your work and decision-making processes, and lead presentations and discussions in a way that is easy for others to understand. 

What You'll Need:

  • Demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through:
    • BS+ 6+ years of experience OR MS+ 3+ years of experience.
  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language (С++, Python, Scala, Java), Python preferred.
  • Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, Event Bridge, Glue, Athena) or any other cloud platform.
  • Experience working with high throughput data processing pipelines.
  • Strong technical communication skills, written and verbal, that scale to a diverse workforce
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex software defects.
  • Experience in source control applications and agile workflows such as GITHUB and JIRA. 

Bonus Points: 

  • Understanding of geospatial data concepts and tools (GeoJSON, PostGIS, QGIS, OSM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for geospatial data analysis.
  • Prior experience in navigation or automotive industry.
