As a Senior Registrar Operations Manager, you will be a key leader ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and security across our domain registrar business. With deep expertise in the domain industry and an understanding of complex customer issues, ICANN policies, UDRP, and domain abuse management, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline processes and mitigate operational risks.
This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Domain Registrar Operations leader. You'll have the option of working remotely (U.S.) or on-site (hybrid) at our NYC headquarters.
You'll Get To...
- Lead efforts to help review and resolve complex customer inquiries related to domain registration, transfers, and disputes that come to Registrar Operations.
- Act as the expert on UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy) cases, TLD registry compliance cases, working with internal and external legal teams to resolve disputes efficiently.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the domain cases and advisor to the internal teams.
- Monitor and address compliance efforts in collaboration with internal legal teams and external compliance partners.
- Partner on domain abuse monitoring and mitigation efforts, collaborating closely with the internal teams to ensure the swift resolution of abuse complaints.
- Develop security protocols and collaborate with the security team to address abuse-related issues and protect domain assets.
- Streamline and improve the operational aspects of the domain registrar business, ensuring smooth communication between TLD registries, internal teams, and external partners.
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of domain operations, including finance-related workstreams, contractual changes, and TLD registry key account access.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure tasks related to domain operations are completed promptly and efficiently.
- Understands TLD registry pricing, registry rebates, funding, invoices, and negotiates contracts with TLD registries.
- Act as the key liaison between registries, internal product, finance, engineering, and legal teams.
Who We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in domain industry, customer support, and compliance.
- Expertise in domain abuse monitoring and mitigation, with a focus on security and trust.
- Expertise in ICANN regulations, UDRP, GDPR, DNS and abuse complaint management.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing compliance frameworks and operational processes in the domain industry.
- Strong operational management skills with experience overseeing contracts and compliance workstreams with TLD registries.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience working successfully with cross-functional teams.

Cash Compensation Range: $97,000 - $170,200 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
